Male Viera in the benchmark look absolutely stunning! Face 3 is my favourite so far.

I am also very pleased with their animations and body models. Not too muscular and not too feminine. I have tried on different outfits in the benchmark and it seems they do not suffer from the problem male Au Ra have with their broad hips. Thankfully!

There is amazing post that I've seen circulating around that says "Men are really threatened by male Viera". I guess it's true. The amount of copium and intense outward hatred is immense.

To celebrate our victory, I made this before/after. It was very hilarious to make a "male viera" in shadowbringers and see the reactions of people, but the infinite limitations made me return to my miqo'te after 1 year.
I want to thank you all for this topic and the insistence. Now we have our bunny boys, a well deserved prize for everyone who "fought" to receive a "complete" race.

Nah i think it's just guys who wanted something more wild and we got all theese delicate males, not the cup of tea of everyone so some ppl are just dissapointed. Even if they find the males ugly and ridiculous, it's fine. I'm the same to some extent i admit xD

Yes, after seeing how male viera are imo one of the best quality player models so far, I have every hope that when they release femhrots they're gonna do an amazing job with them as well (also, I think miera is the best racial armor by 1000000000x)

Disliking does not equal hate, but what people are saying is very obvious they hate them. It's vitriolic for no reason.

Also, two of the faces look plenty masculine to me. You don't have to be a muscle droid with a beard to be a man.

Yes and no, you have to keep in mind that many ppl react in many different ways. Some will suffer silently if they don't like the males and some will do the exact oposite.
The trolls don't have to be taken seriously.

I'm okay with the male viera i made (face 1) and i never said that muscle are part of the things that i dislike. I'm a lean guy irl so i don't mind that. I'm talking mostly about the face, some details just kill the masculine part for me. It's just my preference.
Even talking about the "unholy lips" was mostly a joke to make my point, i don't have very thin lips irl. The lips alone don't ruin the look, but with the other parameters, it just add up and guive the "unholy lips" vibe to me sometimes. Same thing for the "bratz eyes", it's too cute for me. I don't like thoose things on my characters. For others idc, they make so cool creations but it's not my style.

Yeah, it's a combination of things that just make them look weird. The facial hair styles are comical to me, and they look glued on.. Like their face is too smooth. I wonder what kind of poses they will have, as their default looks bizarre. The hairstyles are relatively decent though. I'd prefer them being on-par with females in terms of height as well.

yeah, i was a little discouraged at first because there was no equivalent of like face 2 miqote, but i was able to make something i liked with face 2, 3, and 4. try experimenting with different skin, hair, and eye colors. you might find something that'll knock your socks off

I've experimented with a couple of the facial hair options that I seem to like, but I can't quite seem to find a look I like for face 3

My problems with the beards is my problem with most beards in this game. They're all just so smooth. It's like it's head-hair growing out of their chins.

Oh, I'm not talking about you really fyi. You're being totally cool. You don't have to like them. I was more just commenting that it is strange that many people are calling them effeminate when 2/4 faces are masculine. I like masculine characters myself and face 4 is awesome for that. Very handsome, like a Disney prince. The lips thing was also a jest, because the community seems to really hate big lips (Gaia... poor Gaia). Finally a male race that doesn't look like :I all the time.

But yeah, there is definitely a lot other people who who are taking it to extremes (not on just on the forums), and many of them are not joking. I'm also really terrible at not taking bait when I'm bored. :(

the facial hair is a bit odd and feels out of place on some of the faces but some people made them work.
it sure is something that needs more glam to work like Prince nez or perhaps different hair styles

It's really not.
I think you pointed out what ppl don't like : the disney prince, but with feminine details on top. It's just too mutch on the feminine side for some ppl. At maximum you can get something close to Cloud Strife in terms of masculinity and it's already too mutch for some ppl. It's just a matter of tolerance and male viera is mostly more on the feminine side imo. That changes depending what you are used to see and what you like.

1st there isn't a lot of difference from choosing Rava and Veena other than skin palettes. It would be nice to have a few different option in Facial Features and Tattoo catergory. Maybe I'm crazy but could have sworn you normal get one or two key difference like a forehead stone or different Tat.

2nd these models have more eyeliner than an 80's hairband. Cool, we get it but seems like that is something face paint could address while you could add another facial hair option or even earring option.

3rd speaking on facial hair, two goat/devil beards? Feels like you could have chose something else and give us three different choices here. Oh and can you please fix Face 4 sideburn, they have just this weird cutoff that doesn't match up with certain hairstyles. Makes it look they were just painted on.

Viera are completely androgynous throughout their teens and stop outwardly ageing around 20, and their females are physically and socially dominant, being the protectors of the tribe. Based on that, I never once expected the males to have hyper masculine features.

You asked for male Viera and that's exactly what you got.

You are totally right. It's the little things that add up. Even so, I think I've managed to come up with a character I'm satisfied with, but it's a pity that the muscles, the eyebrows or whatever were a bit off so I couldn't create a truly perfect character from my point of view, that is. Before I read it here, while watching the benchmark, I thought "He kind of looks like a prince" and I guess that's the "Disney look" someone has mentioned. I'd rather go for a more masculine/wild look. Sometimes in the creator it looked as if I were looking at a female with a different hairstyle or eyelashes. Some styles and faces (number 1, I believe) and also reminded me of M-Omega, whose face I'm not a huge fan of, which kind of put me off too. The hair was a tough choice too because the long ones didn't seem to make the cut and I'm not a huge fan of accessories, but I hope we get some good news on that before 6.0.

I'm already committed to making a pretty boy Viera, but I think I might make a Prince of Persia cosplay on an alt.
