Getting rid of Machinist's Bishop Turret back in Shadowbringers never made sense. Why the heck would I summon Queen Automata on a pack of enemies when it can only attack them one at a time!? And to add insult to injury, Bishop Turret was given back, but for PvP! Come on devs! You guys could have at least given back Bishop Turret for PvE after you guys gave it Dismantle back!
Res potential from DPS need to be significantly reduced. Put it on a 120s timer at least.
RDM and SMN should not have to pay the rez tax. Their DPS should be increased until it is near the level of BLM.

Which is crap, because Bishop is an all around better constant AoE attack than Flamethrower, because if you move, Flamethrower turns off. Meanwhile, even if we have to reposition Bishop, building the gauge to do so is a cake walk! Meanwhile, Flamethrower is stuck on a long arse cooldown...
While I don't have nearly as many issues with the combat system as other people, and I actually enjoy the relatively simplistic job piloting aspect, I completely loathe random procs in this game, not crits, crits are fine, but rather things like RDM's 50% Verproc chance and DNC's 50% Fan Dance chance, DNC feels amazing during your burst after Technical Step, or when the stars align and you get perfect procs for like a full uninterrupted minute, but that happens so sparsely...
Meanwhile I love chance and RNG elements. One of my favorite things in RPGs is when you have an ability that casts random magic or things like that. But it's a good thing that there are jobs that have RNG and ones that don't rather than all of them having RNG mechanics like that, or none at all.
The notion that Healers should focus on damaging GCDs and healing oGCDs is cringe and toxic when teaching newer healers or when content is already in it's .x5 patch and most players are BiS in PF. No one cares about your funny coloured numbers and no one ever will, they care about the content being cleared and tanks not dying to Boss DoTs/Auto Attacks cause the "optimized" healers neglected to use 1 or 2 GCDs to heal them after a buster.
As an aside to this, I want every fight in each raid tier from now on to have "At content" Almagest levels of Raid damage so we can get healers healing once again.
1. As it stands right now, Healing is brain dead easy.
2. Dungeons aren't fun, you can just about fall asleep during them.
3. having the same formula every expansion / patch cycle and slapping a new skin on it isn't exciting. try new things please.
I mean, if you look at the four tanks, DRK and GNB are just very lackluster as TANKS, not DPS sticks that hold aggro, but TANKS. Their party support/mitigation kit is super basic in comparison to PLD and WAR. Their support is also designed in a way where it is more beneficial for them to hold and use it selfishly for themselves than actually use it to support and protect the party.
I'd rather jobs stay simple and fights get more complex. I don't need to worsen my carpal tunnel trying to keep up with a dozen CDs, but bosses could have more interesting mechanics than orange puddle, tankbuster, and half-room or donut cleave.
DPS mains opinions do not matter, especially in regards to high end content and job design
Garlemad should be rebuilt. Much like how Doma's captial was where we helped donate stuff for the effort.
Not sure a hot take but there are far too many venues. from moment im on till i go off thats all i see in pf under other. then come night it just explodes and cities get spammed with ads.
of all the ones i been too i can say very few are unique. mostly all are just the cookie cutter ones. both in the sfw and the nsfw department. im not talking design because each venue thankfully has their own style design but i mean overall setup of services. also lord forbid you have in game bards...its like a death sentence to venues. everyone rather a twitch dj these days.
feel like they should rename the game to Final Venue XIV at this point.
Island Sanctuary should have been exclusive to gatherers and crafters only, and have the mobile game-like gameplay loop/barriers removed and level gated by DoH/DoL instead.
Tataru's stocks would plummet in the western crowd if her English dub sounded anything like the Japanese and Korean dubs.
Honestly I just headcanon that Tataru is related to Tataramu and thus has connections with Highwind Skyways, surely Tatabaru isn't so heartless to not give lend his (theorical) niece an ear, especially after he mellowed out, and thus make it easy for Tataru to commission the right engineers?
FFXIV without the trinity system (Tank-Healer-DPS) but, instead, giving every class its own healing, tanking, and DPS tools would be cool.
Here's my lukewarm take:
Get rid of the "type XYZ in say chat" quests. They're not engaging, they're not "mixing up the gameplay", they just make me feel like a crazy person talking to myself in public chat.
The two minute burst window is one of the worst things to happen to PvE in this game.
Varis died in a stupid, unnecessary way. They could have kept him alive and his trash son. Yeah I think Zenos is bland and boring.
So much more could have come out of Garlemald.

Casual content should have enrages, extremely lax ones, but they should still be present, to prevent fights from being endlessly loopable, and push the skill floor a tiny bit up so it stops being a tripping hazard in hell.
