Really hoping there is a way to get the maid outfit later.
I just returned when the whole thing finished and i adore the outfit look.
Well soon January will be over and still no news. V_V How sad.
Well just saw that you can ask Questions for the next upcoming Liveletter at the EU fanfest so maybe you can ask em regards the Promotion. :o
I was actually coming here to dig up this thread. I'm seriously wondering what SE is going to do now for those who were promised access but didn't get anything.
i am still waiting
Guess they're letting this thread die, together with the hopes of half the european players...
Did EU not get the outfits? I haven't read through the thread so I'm clueless.
I have the outfit on my main, but I don't really use it. I wish I could give it away to someone who would. :(
Some EU countries got it, most didn't. Even some countries which were promised to get it, didn't and the response was basically that they won't be getting it. Even though people were holding on on other countries' promos and waiting to get their own promo as promised. Some countries like UK did grant other countries to participate in theirs, but the amount of codes UK got wasn't even enough for UK players, let alone for everyone else.
I just posted a question regarding these glamours and the mishandling of the promotion on the 'Letter from the Producer' questions thread. I urge all of you to make similar posts to that thread so the topic doesn't get drowned out by the flurry of Stormblood and Job questions.
This is the chance to get a definitive answer, let's hope for a positive one!
Definitely going to upvote as well, I wouldn't wear some of the items, but there are important pieces I want. And I need more men in the butler suit to drool over.
I mostly just want the mount to add to my collection. I suppose I could play around with the butler set, too, since it does look pretty smart.
Part of me is still hoping that whilst they may stay quiet about how the promotion was handled we may see the items thrown up onto the Mog Station one day. That'd be a neat surprise.
So... we did get the butler set on the mog station after all...

...for chocobos.
What is this? Spitting on us? :/ If it's a joke it's not funny.
I doubt they'll had it in CS one day (and i'm sad for you) but to many issues with players who had to pay more than 20e to get it :/ (remember shipping costs for those wh used the EU amazon promotion :/)
Well but the Chinese client also had the easiest way by having the set in their cash shop too. So even if its a way to bring over that exclusive barding it still feels bad since lots of players are still without a chance to even get the clothes. Seeing the barding might have giving some players the hope that the rest was there too, only to be disappointed.
Part of me is hoping that the remaining items will be spread out across the next few batches of new items added to the Mog Station. I believe there's another seasonal event scheduled for March and as is tradition we'll see some of the previous year's items added to the Mog Station at that time. Perhaps then we'll see the clothing and/or mount from the promotion made available.
Initially when I saw the newspost they'd be bringing the items to the Netherlands I knew it would very likely be in the Power Unlimited, a Dutch gaming magazine. Eventually the first set, of what I thought would be three, was indeed released in this magazine. I guess at some point either Power Unlimited started asking too much money, of something went bad with the team taking care of the items for the EU. Either way, from the reviews and tone of voice it didn't seem the PU was very interested in hosting these items, as they mispronounced several things in their vocal advertising as well as using plain bad (gaming) symantics. If you ask me they shot themselves in the food not being a bit more enthousiastic about the promotion as it made me buy their magazine for in the first time in two years again xP
Oh well, I was lucky my French gf was able to get her hands on the items distributed there and got myself the item codes. A very nice birthday present from her if I may say so myself. ♥
We're very close to the European Fan Fest so I'm going to give this a nudge in the hope that someone attending can potentially bring this issue up if there's an open Q&A session.
I don't know if it will be this soon, and not sure how the particular contracts will work since this was a joint event between SE and multiple outside companies, but I hope these items come to the cash shop eventually too. It was nice being able to participate and get the items, but the promotions were awkward for a lot of players and left a lot out entirely, so that the items are still a regional exclusive that many players right here on our data centers never had the opportunity to get. I think it would only be fair to give everyone that access.
Personally, as someone who has the items, I really don't care how little another player pays on mogstation compared to what I paid in to amazon. I've just always felt that there shouldn't be regional exclusives within the JP/NA/EU data centers. I wouldn't complain if these items were sold on CS for $5 each.
As someone that got it through the Gamestop campaign..I dont really care what price it would have in the CS. I would just be happy that other people will get the chance to get them and lets not forget that for many campaigns it was a code on top of a real good. I mean I got a game too. If people buy it from the mog station they will only get virtual goods for it.
So there was no question about this in the end right? :/
No question about it at Fan Fest. They should know people are ready to pay on mog station this outfit . Well, if like the moogle outfit there is not news after a long time , just give up :/
Well I do have mine so normally it would not really be negative for me but I really hope that we will get a answer to this. Letting us wait and hope is not really nice.
Eh, there's no reason for people to 'give up'. It may not have been mentioned at Fan Fest but we can use this thread to keep the issue from fading into obscurity whilst also figuring out new ways to raise awareness. I still think there's a good chance that the Japanese employees are unaware of how poorly the promotion was handled in Europe when compared to how smoothly it played out in Japan and North America.
We just need people to be loyal to this thread's cause, maintain a civil tone and avoid being defeatist.
Im meaning by " long times " its no news about it 2 -3 years later ^^" No now ^^"
There still hope but a long silent for 3 years can mean a lot :/
Thought, Idk why FF xiv no put in mog station if he cant give in some countries at end.
By exemple, all little dlc from FXV ( royal costume etc) are available on PS stores.
Hope SE just put all items no available now on mog station.
So. Any more news on this? New promo? Mogstation?
We still would like access to these items in the rest of Europe, SE. As promised.
I wanna know if we're gonna have it here in Spain too. I didn't buy it when it came to UK cuz they said it was gonna come to other countries as well, so I'm waiting, but we didn't had anymore news about this.
At least put it in the Mogstation please :(
You know, this is what angers me the most. :( I could have easily gotten them from another country, but we were repeatedly promised we would have dedicated promotions in our countries too, and what the hell if Square-Enix decided to try bringing a promotion all the way to more marginalized markets like Italy and Spain I'm sure going to take part in it and show them that there is a market here who cares.
And I feel like such an idiot now, I should have gone the selfish way and taken the offer in UK. I took the bait on that promise and then left on my own without as much as an apology.
It was, at best, a rather flimsy apology. If they were truly apologetic then surely they'd be working to keep people informed and answering the reasonable questions that have been posted throughout the thread. It feels very much like they said 'sorry' to have it on record and then they washed their hands of the incident. They haven't told us why things did not work out. They haven't pointed us to what laws may be making it problematic to operate in Europe. They haven't made an effort to let us know whether or not they intend to find some other way to make the items in question available.
Now, certainly, the blame may not be entirely on Square Enix's shoulders but given how prominent the 'Final Fantasy' brand is I have a hard time believing that they'd struggle to find business partners in Europe to operate through. Especially when they teamed up with Amazon in North America.
They maybe should work with all Amazon from each country of Europe like 2 nd ways to get it
Amazon US was screwed over badly by the NA players who ordered stuff, got the free code, & then cancelled (or sent stuff back). Things like that really mess up the stock ordering systems & will definitely have cost Amazon money. No wonder they didn't want to be involved in Europe.
Even so, an 'EU'-only offer through the S-E store would have solved everything. The tools to solve this are available if they choose to make use of them.
(I was able to use the mismanaged UK offer but I have nothing but sympathy for those who waited for the promised local offers to materialise, only to end up with nothing. I felt trolled enough waiting so long for the crummy UK deal to be available to me; those who waited even longer and got nothing at all must feel terrible.)
There was a campaign with Amazon France.
Code was send after the ordered item was also send, so it would be too late for cancelling.
It would have been better if SE put the news about Amazon.fr in every european language pages on Lodestone instead of only on the french page. Because everyone in europe was able to use it, if he had a credit card (why use Amazon.fr no PayPal?)
