For me, the 6.0 changes actually made monk worse. OGCDs are rare outside of Brotherhood since Whirlwind Kick and Elixir Field got removed as OGCD cooldowns and repurposed as (GCD) Blitz finishers, so now monks basically do something cool once every 40s, and the time between those 40s windows is mind-numbing - and "something cool" is extremely subjective - personally I find their blitz finishers pretty underwhelming. Post-6.0, monk has become my least favorite melee - might be my least favorite job overall, depending on how summoner ends up (my summoner is only like 55 or something, but so far I hate it).

Just FYI, new SMN will play pretty much exactly the same from 50 all the way to 90, with only a slight change in how one your specific summon buttons work. Beyond those trait upgrades, it's not going to be any different. Been leveling for the role quests and there's no change between crystal tower and eden.
Hi everyone. Just a random caster reporting from a midcore Dragonsong ultimate progression.
It's truly sad too see Samurai underperform a Summoner in raw damage against Thordan/Nidhogg and CO. in the new Ultimate content. Normally I would not care as a caster main but seeing this job and my static Samurai being so good in 6.08 and witness what it is now is very heartbreaking on high endgame content. Just bring Kaiten back or remove the fixed low crit damage. At least make it good again Square Enix. It sucks in Dragonsong's Reprise Ultimate. No it's not a player skill issue. It's just factual numbers from the ingame battlelog next to the General tab. :mad:
Yeah, I'm convinced they nerfed samurai FOR Dragonsong's Reprise. And with a samurai clearing the content, they'll just be convinced samurai's fine (it's not, let's not pretend it is) and move on with their day. Gotta prepare 6.2 to be a bigger disappointment than 6.1 is, y'know.
