Official ENTM-GD thread! 2.0

This round was SO hard, and the mentors didn't think any of my shots were good enough either saying they could see too much. Not surprised I ranked low, not at all. Everyone else had such awesome shots and concepts!

I think you had a lot of great concepts though. The degree to which people showed skin this time really did vary greatly. Lalafell girls definitly had the short sttaw... they're so tiny already and then that bra band... :/
I really like that one though, it matches your expression well... you have that cornered feeling with your back against the wall ^^

Fun production fact: I hastily bought more than half the plants displayed there to get the shot done as I wanted it and it easily cost me 200-300k. T_T The plants still sit on my retainer because I don't have the space and it's too sad to just throw them away after they bound to me.... Considering the outcome it was worth it though.
The shower idea came to me when I showed a friend my house and we ended up sitting in the shower chatting.... proof that the best inspiration hits you while you are in the shower!

So, uh, the forum locked me out for not logging into the game for a while, so I didn't get to put up that special surprise I promised in time; and I can't put it up anymore. In other news, my subscription ends tomorrow! So I went ahead and changed my hairstyle and gave myself a nice-looking cozy hat to celebrate Heavensward. Here was my helper; a random person that decided to watch me after he saw me poking my sun minion on the beach with no clothes on >.>; (but I'm still really thankful!)

I asked him to take his clothes off to see how it would look. He thought I was role-playing LOL! The picture ended up too zoomed out and it looked weird with an expressionless face XD

I'm not going to deny I had a weak shot for this round, but I didn't want to let his help go to waste!

I had a ton of shots for this one but since I hated them all but that one.
So I rage deleted all of them but that one cake shot lmao ><;

It was fun yet tough at the same time to get a good picture.

Oh Terrini, some of your rejected shots were actually really great. I love the one with the flowers. This WAS a challenge for the Lalas, the girls especially. *hugs* I'm so sorry.

Oh I know what you mean... I mean I had so many people running Ifrit with me in round 1 and then with some of the other rounds to? people helped me a lot! And then also people that took photos for me, but none of them were quite good enough either... >_< I have chosen just to shout out to them in imgur when I share my albums.

I personally love these 2, but I don't know, the mentors were REEEEEALLY strict about what they could see. Other people were like "They told you WHAT? They must have been looking so much harder than me.... it looks fine!"

I was in a real tizzy about this round and having bad comments from BOTH mentors and then GOOD comments from people... well I honestly wasn't willing to trust myself at all...

You should always trust yourself, because in the end you have to be happy with the work that is put out and be able to say 'if this shot sends me home, I am fine with it because I like it and it's my favorite'

It's always nice to have people to give you advice and comment on it, but everyone is going to look at something a different way, and that's all it is: advice. If you choose to follow the advice then it's your decision, and sometimes you might not agree with what they say and that's 100% fine. In the end, help is always nice but go with what you think is the best because in the end you're the one who has to stand behind the piece, not them. :)

All three of the ones with the flowers. The bushes... well, it's an artifact of how SE does the flowers and bushes in this game, the way it shows the edges of them from certain angles. I think the flowers are much more effective since that flat plane isn't visible.

I love all the shots this round wow! I had a lot of fun with this one, and had a lot of help too, so I've got... a fair few of rejected shots. These are some of my personal favourites.

This one was really hard to pull off, because my friend and I had to angle it and time it just right to take the picture as the hand did its scrolling animation. He was on PS4 taking it, so no Fraps. In the end, despite spending so long trying to get this shot, I scrapped it because I didn't think it told much of a story.

I really liked my flower shots, but the judges told me that there were already a lot of people using flowers, so I wanted to do something a bit more original.
