Why was Gelmorra abandoned if the Duskwright didn't want to move to Gridania anyway? You'd think they'd just keep living in Gelmorra.

Why didn't the Duskwright want to move to Gridania? Did they just not want to have to live by the Elementals' inscrutable rule-set or was it something else? The homepage the current Duskwright "despise the shackles of city life" but at the time Gridania was founded their ancestors were living in the city of Gelmorra so that can't have been the original reason.
