You CAN upgrade sol gear at a slow rate; it's called Sands of Time. Too bad you'll never get any. Not till echo buff anyway. lol

Well it's a pretty nice incentive for upgrading the gear. The weapons change appearance when you upgrade them so it would be pretty lame if the armor didn't.

There's a lot more to this thread than the first page. Awrini said he sees "a lot" of people saying they want gear to be handed to them. He said nothing about the first page. You reading and comprehension skills are deplorable. It's clear he can see what I see which is a lot of casuals complaining that gear isn't handed to them. They can use all the clever wording they want to try and avoid looking like fools but it's clear what some of the people in this thread are saying; they want it to be easier to obtain gear.

Here is another option. Do PvP to rank 40 get ilvl 100 PvP gear penta meld it, this will make the gear better then unupgraded soldiery gear. But you have to do all that PvP to get rank 40.

No it won't. i110 is better than i100.

Doing that the legit method with queue times...... by that time I think ilvl50 armor will be out with increased levels.

If I am not mistaken, for PVP gear, materia effects do not kick in unless inside the Wolves' Den. Therefore, all your melds will have no effects for PVE content.
