Source on that? I don't think I have seen a teen in my life that looked like Fran. I'd say mid to late 20s is when they "freeze".

1. Theodoric warned us about how asking for skinny and short male Viera as it would devolve into portraying them as "boys" (teenagers)
2. Female Viera don't look like teenagers. That argument that they stop aging when they're teenagers can't be quoted anywhere. They stop aging when they hit adulthood, that's the correct quote; applies for both genders.

They stop aging at 20, I think it was Matsuno who stated this, also, they don't stop aging, they just do it really slow, if you ask me except for the short haired male, which would be the younger face type, they don't look like teens, they look just like the females, in their early 20s.

My guess is we are gonna get a face 4 that will be still young but a bit older than the others (mid late 20s?), just like you can make f. viera face 4 into a more mature looking face with the correct settings.

I always pegged my main viera as 25ish and my alt as early 30s. I used face 4 for that reason exactly :D

some people here are reaching so hard xD viera males just look like a typical final fantasy(anime) protagonist. they follow typical asian/japanese beauty standards - beardless and handsome youngish faces. in my opinion they look like in their early 20s. they have the features most of final fantasy’s male cast would have and most japanese people would consider as „handsome“. just look at kpop idols, they kind of resemble that.

i know it‘s not everyones cup of tea, but it izzzz what it izzz and we knew they couldn‘t please everybody with that design - especially probably some western people, as they are used to this „all men have to be a huge amount of bulk and buff to be heroes“. im glad we see quite the opposite in japanese/asian culture in general.

They look really young, it's a wasted opportunity really. It'd be nice if that supposed 4th face, is an older looking one, but not a hideous looking one.

Personally, I prefer to play males that aren't bearded, usually some stubble, I like them to actually look cool - good really. Most games have beards that look glued on frankly. As for bodytypes, I actually quite dislike big bulky male characters as well. I really don't like the cartoony bulky males in WoW, for example. I prefer them to be more 'normal'. A decent height (not too tall), and well built, but probably the 'aesthetic' type of build. What can I say, I prefer attractive protagonists.

Face 4 will be a 60 something year old and it will be the only one with good facial hair, if at all

At least three of the four male Au Ra faces seem to match custom-faced NPCs (Aymeric, Varis, Edmont) and I assume the fourth probably does too, but I just haven't been able to identify it.

i think he specifically said something along „stubble for hyur“ in that interview. i really, really hope tho all male characters get to use it tho... at least those were it‘d be possible, i don‘t know it they would work with au ra scales for example. but hyur, miqo‘te, roe, elezen, viera could work.

You know I’m just now realizing I use the Aymeric face all the time for my Au Ra. Didn’t know why I was drawn to that one but now I am fully aware!

The scenario writer who also wrote the dramaturge said on his Twitter that they “freeze” after coming of age, which is around 20.

I think mine is planning to wear all the flouncy shirts like the Infantry shirt and the Edenmorn striking/scouting bolero. Not to look feminine, just show-offy.

I think he might be getting good use out of those clawed boots from the starter gear, too.

I’ve already got my glams ready to incorporate those clawed greaves. Prolly my favorite foot piece I’ve seen in awhile.

The greaves are so nice, my boy is going to live in them. The bone wicca caster shoes have served me well all these years, but trying to find substitutes for other jobs has been a constant struggle :P

Also Bonewicca feet gear radiate with power. One of the few times I wished DRG and NIN shared the same models as fending or striking.

Viera Male look like Boys. They look young, simple fact.
Its just not my thing, but to everyone whos into it, Im not here to make you change your mind or put breaks on your hype train.

The FemRose slider isn't happening. The Race is already made, they wont waste time and energy to cater to your odd request.
They will be as tall as they were made to be, and they will be fine.

If Im proven wrong...so be it.

Proving me wrong has been a been a very bad endeavor; many have tried though. I still remember how forcefully people were about Male Viera only being possible in 7.0 while I kept reminding people that it's 6.0 or bust.

I'll keep reminding everyone that that outside of male Elezen we have no real "normal body" choice for the tall side of the male spectrum and how they will have to make them tall to fill that problem. But if they're even smarter, they will opt for the female Roegadyn slider which then makes them the perfect male race in terms of the variety and versatility they would offer. Game development takes a lot of cross-referencing; if they haven't noticed by now the overlap between male Midlander, male Miqo'te, and male Viera all 3 being almost the same height is bad game design. I will stand on this, my undefeated record of being correct is on the line.

I will admit I did not think we would get them in 6.0 glad to be proven wrong. As many others have echoed I wonder at what cost. I do hope at the very least they are not heavily limited throughput the expansion in terms of hair styles. Since I doubt we will have another pandemic for them to blame the lack of content.

Femroe slider is only important if they want to still make them short while also giving a good tall option.

Yeah, It's my bad for relying too much on information given in interviews, in regards to the addition of new races, and being more concerned about the overall health of the game instead of my own desires, unlike many who demanded male viera across social media.
