Unless two things apply:
1) SAM features "Third Eye" which is Spider senses in a way
2) Samurai Spiderman is very popular in Japan

A bit of random question here that I cannot fully verify anywhere. Is the fanfest schedule made according to Germany time (CET)?
All times are in MEZ (GMT+1). Please keep that in mind!
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...rt_2017_event/
Isn't CET GMT+1?
For others too, but I find this website is helpful to share when talking/thinking about timezones, as you don't need to fill out drop downs or what have you: http://everytimezone.com/
UTC and GMT share the same times and both ignore DST (Daylight Savings), UTC was created to be used for all (Universal Time) and is not technically a timezone even though it shares time with GMT (UTC+1 == GMT+1).
Thank you both for the info. ^^
Now all I need is a means to speed up time 12 hours forward.
I hate to think about it but if its really only 2 classes that just means we are going to be stuck without Samurai & Dancer or Blue Mage & Samurai or Dancer & Bluemage for what about 2 years or so depending on how long till the next expansion
Also if Yoshi-P is massively trolling us >:[ Lets tease SAMURAI as hard as we can then not reveal so they have to wait till 5.0 trolololol
You have a point. This speculation has created so much hype on so many fronts that it will end up backfiring. Instead of actually making people engaged, it will end up leaving a portion disappointed. In my opinion, the worst possible backlash will be if there are only 2 jobs and SAM is not the one announced tomorrow.
The devs themselves, pretty much. They've talked about how splitting part of the team to work on NIN introduced a lot of difficulties because they had to divert them from Heavensward, straining both the half-team that had to develop and balance a job mid-expansion, AND the team that had to do more work to make up for their loss on the Heavensward team.
It's kind of like the Sch/Smn split, it sounds like something they experimented with but aren't inclined to repeat.
Regarding the release of Ninja as part of a patch and whether we could see something like that happen again, I was always under the impression the the stress on the development team was the result of working on four jobs within a limited time frame. I don't think they would have any issue with releasing a job during the 4.0 patch cycle if only two jobs had to meet the deadline for the expansion. Releasing three jobs for Stormblood is less work than what they had to do leading up to Heavensward and saving one job for a later patch would be even less work than that.
I'm sorry but market activity on materia stats are just not anywhere near a big enough thing to prevent or alter their decision on jobs. Especially since you proposed it as a problem for main stat materia, of which not a single job actually uses aside from tanks using STR materia on their accessories. So a new job's main stat doesn't effect this market in any way because all their gear is already capped on their primary stats. After that it's secondary stats such as Accuracy, Determination, Skill/Spell Speed, and Crit, of which every job can and does use to varying degrees and adding new jobs isn't going to drastically shake up the market for these materias. Gear sets have a bigger impact on these things than actual jobs, as the materia desired is dependant on what stat you need more of depending on each sets, but I don't see you arguing for all the next armor sets to have exactly the same stat distribution so as not to disrupt the precious materia market.
That's your opinion, just as mine is that PotD is boring content with close to zero strategy and mindlessly repetitive. It's a step up from simply grinding random monsters. Your opinion is not shared by everyone, just as mine isn't.Quote:
I have no doubts they'll add more FATEs and want people to partake in the new areas, but I do not like FATEs. They're a boring content, imo (due to the two common extremes, zerg or entirely vacant - in which both scenario FATEs have issue balancing well to). Would much rather have the best spam EXP source be PotD or dungeons (roulette makes them great for the first go at least).
You didn't really read what I had to say if this is your response. I said they should think about it but the options to solve are relatively simple, I already said in the very beginning it wouldn't alter simple choices due to the very simple solutions. However if aggravated then yeah it probably would, like if we had like 12 jobs on strength/intelligence and 1 on dexterity/mind then yeah it would actually have obvious effect on market and should therefore be on their decision what to do next. Also they do attempt to get people to use the main stat materias at varying times, such as certain quests, or accessories as you pointed out (main reason why Strength is ~500% more expensive than other main stats) - the demand at those points would exemplify their balance. I never said they couldn't make it unbalanced (only that drop rates being adjusted slightly would be useful), and if you're suggesting higher demand with same supply has no effect on a market... then yeah (Main stat materia definitely sell, consistently, so they have value - and strength is currently out of the norm).
All they need is to be mindful of the rates and what jobs need (obviously somethings never change like det/crit). That doesn't mean "oh no its not balanced, lets make a dex job now!" it just means you don't run around blind saying "nothing matters" as that's how you make mistakes. It also matters their group (gear group), but w.e I'm trying to explain what I've already said "simple issue, simple solution". And clearly you're set on thinking im banishing multiple stat desires in a row or something, which I've never attempted to say.
And the market should always be treated as precious, market is not some flippant thing you do whatever you want with when designing. All things are important. Always, that's why they hire dedicated economists in many MMOs.
I said in that thing you quoted imo, so clearly i m o...
Indeed, they were once said that red make is hard to fit in tank, healer, dps role. As RDM are support job in FF series.
Major in spells such as slow, paralyze, blind, phalanx and etc.
They made it happened now.
Besides, if battle system is changing, it might mean that Blue Mage could be able to become 1st multi-role job. (YouTube shows many of FF11 Blue Mage as Tank, DPS, or even Healer)
RDM-Ranged Caster
SAM-Tank
BLU-Melee Caster
That will be it, I got a feelin' in me bones. It will be so
When was dancer ever hinted? Just curious
Spiderman swings from web to web. It's obvious it's dancer since swing is a type of dance.
All is soon to be revealed...
Please look forward to it!
I should've gotten both tissues and popcorn ready for this XD
Less than an hour for WW3.
The possibilities for salt are endless at this point. :D
IT'S HAPPENING, EVERYONE!
