I agree, this was clearly an unintended result of SE's fences. I'm sure it was also an oversight on their part that you had to walk all the way through Vunkerl[S] to get to Ronfaure[S].
They would never do anything to make it harder on purpose.

I've already answered your question, it just wasn't what you wanted to hear. Limits. I don't want to run up to a ledge only wondering "hm, i wonder if the game will decide to let me jump off this one", or "I wonder if the game will decide to let me jump over this rock."Quote:
Oh btw... third time you have ignored my question and request.
Maybe that's not a good enough answer for you.
How about I name two?
Aion:
*Most areas out in the world were 'no-fly' zones. You could only glide, and you had to do a double-jump to activate your glide. When the game was first released, there were no mounts. Your wings were your only method of transportation.
World of Warcraft:
*Blackfathom Deeps - A low level dungeon of sunken elven ruins, in which jumping was required to progress to the middle part of the instance since the stone walkway was broken in several places.
*The Nexus - A level 80 heroic dungeon. On the final boss fight, you combat a dragon named Keristrasza. She places a stacking debuff on you called Intense Cold, that stacks every two seconds. You can remove the debuff by constantly moving throughout the fight. The standard strategy is to keep jumping.
*Naxxramas - A level 80 raid. On the Thaddius boss fight, you had to jump from a high miniboss platform down to the main boss platform. If you didn't do it properly, you ended up in the liquid, had to swim to the entrance, and rejoin your group.
*Throne Of The Tides - A level 85 heroic dungeon. There is an elevator halfway through the instance that is bugged. When it comes down, your entire party has to jump to make the elevator think you're on it, otherwise it will go up without you.
nope vunk was (id you actually followed the lore) between jugnar and ron. Just that path got blocked after the war much like the other areas. Like the windy for being ruins. the fences I'm talking about was around the slopes like near crawlers nest. In wings there was 2 quests that required you to be on 2 hills and getting on top of them took to long. More so the one to get the windy fort map. quest wasn't like the pain staking travel and hard to see aggro.
I recognize that "I don't want it because people jump constantly and it looks bad" is an inane argument. HOWEVER, given the number of people who hold that view, and the number of people who hold the view that remaining true to FF history precludes jumping, I can't justify insisting on more than I need to not inhibit my gameplay. The only time I can say I need to jump is when I get stuck on some invisible little pebble on the road and just need a little bit of a hop.
Would I prefer a free jump? Sure. Am I going to insist on it just to insist on it, because the game is all about me and me alone? Not so much. For me, if it isn't a game-breaker, it isn't a deal-breaker, and the limited manual jump should meet everyone's needs while not overtly offending the anti-jumpers.
The same as me, you didn't list any facts in your argument. Not having a jump isn't a game breaker for you, great. It is for me. That tiny pebble in my way is but 1 of many things in my way that is immersion breaking to me. It's not for you.
Although this argument doesn't get either of us anywhere, it's admittedly more interesting than the current state of xiv to me.
One thing I don't understand. Why are so many people against a free jump? You don't have to use it. If you don't want to jump unless you come to that one spot where you think a manual jump would help, then don't.
Use it when and where you want to. What exactly is so wrong with that?
You should probably read the thread before acting like an idiot.
You said you would ONLY accept a free jump, nothing else. I stated an alternative that makes everyone happy and asked you why it wouldn't work. I gave 3 limitations and asked you if you had a problem with them and what that problem was. You've been dodging ever since.
Go troll somewhere else.
