Cool, why do I care? There are tens of thousands of people who make more money then me, and most of them, are still nothing special. Their Bank Accounts dont make them special.
Nah, my school taught a simple Curriculum. And that I have to learn and study if I want to be successful. No shortcuts.

You don't see SE welcoming us into this game. Are you blind? SE welcomes it's player base in ways that unfortunately the WoW player base haven't felt for some time and I get that. I wish they did, but SE goes out of their way for all FFXIV player base. Do you know that flying in ARR wasn't in the development plans? For so long players wanted to be able to fly in ARR zones. I guess YoshiP didn't see it in the game's budget with everything else he had to budgeted in at the time. Well these devs work long and hard hours making it possible. YoshiP didn't know they've been secretly working on it until way later and to his surprise along with the players surprised it was announced. If that's not welcoming to it's fans from SE and YoshiP, I don't know what is. SE can't type on Twitter to every player a welcome message, that's just silly.

Yeah YoshiP reaches out to many notable streamers, no big deal, it doesn't make Asmongold any more special. I just hope Asmongold can try the game like he wants without the bull honestly. Just people need to get off their high horse including you.

I hope for his own sake that Asmongold makes a character no one knows of, and doesn't stream live - record for later. Let him learn the game, enjoy the game without people either fawning over him or hating on him.

Not heard much salt against WoW players coming into this game and they've been coming way before this. It's just in these forums some of the regular nasties come out of the woodwork and don't know how to act. I hope any WoW player finds the game relaxing and fun.

Or people just simply don't care to view them as achievements in that sense. You know, different people having different goals and aspirations, but then I wouldn't really expect you to know that.

Or you know as has been highlighted several times in that people are just respecting what Asmongold had to say as to not blow it out of proportion and to let him play the game without any unpleasantries.

Threads like this just create some expectation out of him joining the game when all he really probably wants to do is try the game, see if he likes it, and then create his own firsthand opinion of the game. He doesn't need people fanboying over what DC or server he'll pick, especially when he wants to just play through. Cringeeee.

Like I've said, chalking up everything that doesn't conform to your narrative that this event should be treated as if it's a cosmic event like a singularity is going to happen as being jealous is just an immature and as mentioned surface-level assessment.. But alas being who you are, and your reputation for it I hardly expect less, so enjoy yourself I guess.

I see I'm having to repeat myself in that some people just simply don't view it as anything special beyond someone wanting to play the game. Sure he brings a significant viewer base to the game, but that aside let him play the game. If you're to view everyone not treating this as something special as being gaslighting, then that is on you, and taking into account some of the things that Asmon has said in the past isn't exactly the most pleasant outlook to have.- "But he's just being humble"

If you aren't prepared for everyone to jump on the bandwagon, or if you aren't prepared for people having a different outlook than yourself on the subject matter then I really do question making the thread in the first place.

Honestly, I hope he doesn't, I played WoW for years and one of his favourite past times was screwing RPers over, he'd occasionally host his events on Argent Dawn knowing full well it'd cause chaos for the server and it did without fail, his fans have the collective IQ of a sponge and the toxicity to rival if not surpass the Chernobyl fallout, concerns people might have are not unfounded.

If he plays by himself without streaming to see if he likes it or not then there likely won't be issues or any negative fallout but the moment his fans come? Toxicity will skyrocket and to the people who think it won't, oh boy, keep telling yourself that you'll see soon enough.
