@Hakane
my airship has Surveillance, Retrieval: Favor but don't have Speed and Range. Also you need RNG to be kind to you .
You can check front page for airship recommendation .
So 17, 20, 24 so far, a JP player got it from 8 on twitter as well.
Sector 8? jeeze, now there's a low sector. wonder if it's true or not. we'll have to see. I got them from 17 this morning and it took a few trips.
Are these attainable with a bronco ship? I super new to airships.
Sector 8 possibly? the other sectors you need a lot of distance to go, which means high parts/air frame capacity.
Nope, Bronco doesn't have enough stat to go that far. Max 16 if full bronco.
Adding sector 22 to the cloudsbreath list

It was in a JP twitter I was passing by so i don't think I can find it again, feel free to disregard s08 until I get better confirmation.
I'm running the sector 8 with my low airship since I can't reach higher than 16 anyway. I'll confirm it when I'll find the seed if someone else haven't before. o/
Small addition(s): Sector 24 SS rating gave me 8 seeds. I also grew a seed with grade 3 shroud soil and got 2 cloudsbreath (I have not planted any others with other soil so no clue if it got boosted or it grows 2 by default). Sorry I forgot to take screenshots though :(.
Update :Sector 24 " A rating" got 1 cloudsbreath Seed. :(
Sector 20, B rank, R45 forecastle: 2 cloudsbreath seeds

I'm excited about submarines. Doesn't look like it was released with 4.1. Possible setbacks regarding Eureka is my bet.
Sector 24, A rating, 2 cloudsbreath seeds

Those who have obtained cloudsbreath seeds, can you post the surveillance/retrieval of the airships that got them? I'm curious to see the effect of these two stats and to see if faster airships would provide better yield.
I have 3 high surv/ret airships (138/126) and 1 mid-low (114/104). The high ones have a combined 12 voyages done and 3 of them yielded seeds, two voyages 1 seed and one voyage 5 seeds. The low stat one hasn't brought any seeds in ~7 voyages.
So I seem to not get any more seeds. I got 1 from area 17 and that was it.
Is there any specific ship status I need to use?
The stats on any part is irrelevant to your overall success, what matters is your combined stats. Because parts offer different stats you can mix and match to create your own build but the 50 point limit and the min 90 surveillance reduce the number of effective combinations significantly.
Two came back, the 3rd is still out.
1, No seeds, sectors 24 & 20. Sur 122, Ret 72, Sp 108, Ra 100, F 114
2, No seeds, sectors 24 & 21. Sur 122, Ret 84, Sp 66, Ra 70, F 126
3, No seeds, sectors 24, 23, & 22. Sur 104, Ret 90, Sp 90, Ra 100, F 96

120 surveillance, 140 retrieval, 50 speed, 84 range, 136 favor.
Very slow though (it takes 4 days, 3 hours, 40 minutes to hit up sectors 20 and 24).
Good bonus but it's faster and more reliable to just garden for these seeds, now that a cross is confirmed. I've sent out all 4 of my airships to these sectors for two weeks now and these are the first seeds I've obtained.

Just for completions sake. Sector 19 also has a chance to drop cloudsbreath seeds. My guess is that at the very least all of the gold "high level" zones have a chance to drop them.
I have sent out ships on A LOT of voyages. All my ships are 128+ surv. and 98+ ret.
these seeds seem pretty rare. I have not gotten many after quite a few voyages and many many zones hit. I think getting seeds is highly RNG dependent. They must be listed as rare items in any zone that drops them. Gardening is def. the way to go, if you get some from an airship it is just a little added bonus.
I haven't got any more seeds after the initial 6 in 2 weeks, seeing how gardening only takes 5 days with extremely easy to get seeds, safe to say airships are back to the useless junkyard.
I wouldn't be surprised if the proposed FC submarines use the same 4 slots of airships forcing us to dismantle airships to use submarines.
Guys, I have a question. My girlfriend and I received a FC with a house that had the workshop built already, with all the sectors and components unlocked. They, before giving us said FC, dismantled all their airships so we had to start from the scratch. I'm relatively new to the world of airships and, out of ignorance, I bruteforced my way to rank 50 on 2 of them by using Bronco components. Although I read the guide posted below the OP, it doesn't mention anything about the Viltgance parts. My goal is to create pure farmers. Say, bringing me lots of items and being able to explore as many sectors as I possibly can with that base idea on mind. I don't care if they take 999 days to do so. Are there some prefered builds I should be looking forward to?
it sounds like you want a ship with high retrieval and range. which is ok! it depends on what you want.
slow/long haulers give more bang for the buck on your FC credit spenditures via fueling/repairs to your airships
if money or FC credits are no object to you... then let us know!
Hey, Tussin! Thanks for your reply. Answering your questions, we are currently earning more points than losing. So buying the Ceruleum Tanks won't be an issue. As far as repairing goes, I'm basically gathering the dark matter and crafting the repair materials myself. So that won't be an issue either. With that being said, and with these ideas on mind, what should I aim for? :o Thanks in advance!
Theres only 2 real limitations on building your airships.
1. 61 build points
You only have 61 points to put into your airship and each part takes some amount of it. Lower level parts offer lower stats but also use fewer build points (ex. Bronco Hulls have 80 range and 3 build points but Viltgance has 164 range and 31 build points). So you have to mix and match parts from different sets to maximize the stats you want without exceeding 61 build points.
2. 90 surveillance
Higher level destinations require a minimum 90 surveillance to get there so unless you want to only hit the early destinations, you have to keep a minimum of 90 surveillance. Which isn't hard but it does eliminate a lot of builds.
A popular long haul build is
invincible Hull
Bronco Sail
Viltgance Forecastle
Odyssey Aftcastle
This gives you 138 surveillance, 126 Retreival, 54 speed, 84 range, 150 favor.
With 84 range I can hit 2-3 of the furthest destinations in the same trip or 4-5 closely grouped far destinations and I get decent loot with it. The downside is it takes forever to do so.
Another build with more range and speed but less loot is
Tatanora Hull
Bronco Sail
Tatanora Forecastle
Invincible Aftcastle
Surveillance 136, retreival 84, speed 66, range 140, favor 120.
The range is a bit overkill to me but you'll be able to go everywhere with it.
the above 2 are great haulers with stats in the right areas and speed is the best dump stat typically!
i made this as my long range hauler... its a different approach but still solid!
61/61 point build
Odyssey Hull
Bronco Sail/Rigging
Invincible II Forecastle
Odyssey Aftcastle
96 surveillance
126 retrieval
54 speed
126 range
96 favor
My airship is level 9, and I just unlocked sector 4. Should I bother making all 4 parts for Invincible 1? Will I use them all at some point?
Thanks!
I've been sending out my fully bronco airship to sector 11 in hopes of unlocking sector 13. After maybe 30 trips or so, still nothing.
Is there a soft cap? I thought only the later sectors had a surveillance requirement.
you will want to upgrade pieces. a full bronco will only get you so far.
Sector 13 only requires your ship to be rank 37 to discover it, the rest is pure RNG. Later sectors (17 and up) also require 90 surveillance which means you'll need to upgrade by then.
Here's an updated map with the new sectors, think I have the arrows from sector 21>24 going the right way.
