No Arrows in ARR?!

Well I agree that any medium can essentially be art, I just don't agree that Final Fantasy is art, let alone XIV.

I wasn't talking about scavenge, I was talking about an entirely different ability that was never used. It was called retrieval and basically used a portion of your HP to recover some ammunition. (much like convert) It was listed in archer's abilities on the original website for the game.

Does it matter that FFXIV is art or not? It's still a merchandise with presentation, thus the emotional/sentimental aspect is still pretty important, even for the sake of selling the product.

Not that I agree that having arrows gives the game more emotional value though, this type of things can be achieved in other ways.
But emotional aspect of the game shouldn't be ignored completely.
