To think, we wouldn't have had any threads like this if they just made male and female viera instead of introducing another different race. Now people expect 4 new choices rather than 2.

People will always, always complain about something. Where are the stilettos for male bunnies? Why can't male bunnies wear lingerie? And in the case of female Ronso for absolute fairness... Why do female Hrothgar run like that? Why can't we have this or that aesthetic for female Hrothgar starting gear? They're too tall/short!

No. It would not be avoided.

People also complain about savage raid being to hard. Or to easy. Or to hard.
This back and forth isnt only limited when people complain about a race. Its happening even right now, check the character creator thread.

That's kinda the point. Acting like if both genders were added that we would somehow all hold hands and skip through fields of daisies is misguided, at best.

No. It would not be avoided.

Maybe not avoided but mitigated. Player expectations were pretty high with the male viera, and there was almost nothing on Hrothgar except a leak and other extremely misc stuff.

Which is why their decision to include Hrothgar is all the more confusing. I'm not saying they weren't asked for, but I doubt they were asked for in any similar capacity to Viera. And depending on the Yoshida interview, it sounded like Hroths were the original plan, and then the debate was which female to add to them, so even female Viera apparently weren't set in stone. Go figure.
