Mog Station is overpriced.

This pretty well sums up a lot of what I feel about the Mogstation in this regard.

I mean, I really like the Cinese Dress, that's why I purchased it But dear god it's expensive, considering I cannot use it on any other character on my account. In all honesty I think SE needs to change this policy and make all Mogstation purchases account wide. The retainer service is account wide, many other items have been accou nt wide, even free items such as the maid/butler & original Fat chocobo are account wide, but an outfit costing $15+ is character specific? Excuse me? That's just wrong.

Change it SE. This is a very poor reflection on you. I haven't seen this kind of gouging monetization since Idolm@ster and Namco/Bandaii, and they are well known for gouging their customers. Is that the reputation SE wants?

Fix this. Make these outfits account wide and refund anyone who was crazy enough to buy them multiple times for other characters on the same account. It's the right thing to do.

This is how the mogstation works, They know you will be tempted and will end up buying it if you really want it, i love that dress as well, But i pride my self as a strong willed person and do not give in to it, because i'm not paying that absurd price tag just for a temporary glamour (i'll lilkely get bored of seeing it after a while of ussing it, as i do all glamours) but they would already have the money.

They know full well what they are doing, which is why they are not account wide, but do not care because they know people will buy this stuff, No matter the price.

And trust me, this is only going to get worse, prices will keep going up and we'll start seeing some more "exclusives" and a lot less in-game items, Most we'll get in-game is reskins of existing items, while the actual unique and better designed items, are "cash shop only".

It's rough, but this is true. My strongly worded critiques will only get so far. People have to actually refuse to buy the stuff, too, now that SE has seen that they can get away with it. Putting the breaks on a train that's already rolling strong is a LOT more difficult than stopping it before it starts...

I've never spent a cent in the Mog Station and have zero intention to do so despite wanting several items, because I cannot in good conscience spend money on things that are such poor deals for me.

If you are so unhappy you are FREE TO JUST NOT BUY IT if you feel that paying that amount of money will not justify the satisfaction you get out of it. You still DO NOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND this concept of freedom of choice. SE puts something out there, you choose whether you want to buy it or not based on what you think will be the satisfaction you derive out of it. Nobody is forcing you buy it.

But "I paid the subscription"...yes, you did, you chose to pay for the subscription too but nowhere in the subscription did it say that items cannot be in mogstation or items must be priced at X amount of dollars.

You join a club for a subscription fee say X dollars. There are some additional services to that club where you top up some extra money for premium service or some other service you feel is of value to you. Works the same way here. Isn't this why clubs have different subscription prices for services you feel suit what you want?

Basically all I am seeing is this in all these threads.

1. I want the item
2. I DO NOT WANT TO PAY for it
3. Let's just use the argument that the thing is overpriced and harp on it all day long
4. Harping non stop on it all day will solve the problem some day somehow
5. SE will give me the item for free cause I kept harping on it all day long about it being overpriced

You just don't want to admit it or fail to see beyond what is going on in your mind or you all just so naive to think that the world owes you a living and should pander to all your whims and needs.

If this is affecting you so much, why not just stop playing this game and go to another game where you feel you are getting your money's worth or a game where 3 glamours cost $5 dollars? You're the consumer, you have the freedom of choice to leave the game, continue playing it, bring your business somewhere else and vote with your wallet. SE isn't forcing you to hang around if you're unhappy with their policies.

Just like Naunet above posted, he/she made use of his/her FREEDOM OF CHOICE to not pay for anything in Mogstation coz he/she felt that the prices were not justified based or that he/she did not derive any additional satisfaction from the purchasing those items. You also have this FREEDOM OF CHOICE to buy it or not buy it. Nobody is forcing your hand, so just quit all these complaining about something being X dollars here and Y dollars there.

If you do not feel it is justified, JUST DO NOT BUY IT. SIMPLE. And like many have suggested, if enough people do not want to pay those prices, then prices may be adjusted or mogstation may cease its current model of optional items.

I guess I see it more like...

There are clubs that cost a membership that give you all the benefits.

Then, a new club comes along and offers free membership, but you need to purchase for additional services.

I then look at the 2 clubs and decide, hmm, I like the business model that I pay once for everything and everyone gets the same treatment. Some time down the road, the club changes things up and starts selling for additional services at rates that exceed the free clubs. I voice my discontent with it to the company.

Well, just terminate your membership then. I don't remember anywhere in the terms of SE's subscription that said you would get all the content and they will not be able to change their business model.
