Big Fish and You - Patch 2.4 (speculation (or is it? :))

im just starting the big fishing thing... so it looks like i need to hit 321 perception. what about gathering? is it 384 i should be aiming for?

384 for the first 106, 403+ for the last 6

Can The Old Man in the Sea appear after Showers? I've only seen it documented after "just rain".

Edit: Never mind, caught it! I'm guessing for fishing purposes there's no difference at all between rain and showers?

there isnt, fog and overcast is also the same often

Don't need 403+ for anything but Nepto. I've caught all the others with 399.

In other news, I think Helicoprion is my nemesis fish. I ended up having to catch four of the other legendary fish twice now (don't ask) with no issues. I have done at least a dozen fog -> heatwave windows for Heli and have only gotten one bite that got away. The fact that sand leech shares with three other fish just makes it so I only get one, maybe two, hq storm riders each window. Argh!

^Interesting, Helicoprion looks like cake compared to the other 5 :P

took me also more than 30 mooches until I caught heli (or atleast got 1 bite during fog > heat)

heli took me serveral hours, nami like 30 min, kuno more than 20 hours..., shoni probably 3-4 hours, endo 3 or 4 hours, nepto 10 minutes

Question about Kuno; Is it strictly Silverfish HQ > Assassin Beta HQ > Kuno for the path? I ask because Silverfish HQ > Goldfish HQ > Assassin Beta HQ is also possible in terms of mooches. You can also get an Assassin Beta HQ from Ala Mighan Fighting Fish or another Assassin Beta HQ itself.

So I wonder if the only important part is the Assassin Beta mooch itself?

I don't think it matters. Fairly sure you should be able to catch him on any assassin beta on the 2nd mooch or higher. I got mine on Silverfish>Assassin Betta>Assassin Betta>Kuno

I don't know if this will help as it's a bit late, but I got a bite in thunder->fog for Magicked Mushroom so I think the two thunder weathers count as well.
