Can't make a full premade for Crystal Tower...

Well, Square probably haven't perfected the alliance system yet so it can't be used outside the crystal tower, just wait up a bit, this thread has 35 pages, it bound to be catching some dev eyes sooner or later =))

I myself don't mind partying up to 23 other strangers, sure there will be trolls and stuff, I'll just gobble them up :)

Crystal Tower in duty finder is a great thing:) Solo players like me and other people that don't have a FC can play too

While cool, I never expected CT to allow for 24-man premades. It was pretty obvious that the functionality didn't exist in the game currently and with the timing of 2.1 there was no way they were redesigning the entire UI and DF system. Have realistic expectations...

Also, CT is probably going to be really easy if it's tuned to ilevel 60. I could carry a group in AK, I expect I could do the same in CT.

Sure, have fun "doing" this content when the other parties constantly drop out in order to queue up with 3 "alliance" parties. Sounds like great fun :D

Does this mean all future content will consist of only 8 of your FC/Friends + 16 pugs from Duty Finder? No endgame FC Content like in FFXI where there was Sea, Sky, Dynamis ectect?

The official reply seemed to imply that the restriction is only for 2.1. So when they get the system organised, future content will perhaps be able to utilise higher numbers of players in an alliance.

I don't like doing event's with random people! Why? Easy, I don't know you! You could be some jerk who likes to ninja lot or potential be a griefer or constantly try to wipe the party. There are too many factors.

I want to play with the people I know, and have been playing with the last few years. They are reliable. The fact that people are ok with this, and think the people infuriated by this are weird, is inconceivable.

I don't want to wait another 3 or so months for my all my friends to do one thing. Cause maybe they aren't willing to stay another 3+ months.

I wonder if SE wouldn't be able to programm something like a lobby or even a perk for FC Housing.

For the lobby you can be teleportet to a pre instance, where you are able to form a full Alliance group and ONLY there, while also provide a 2nd entrance to the dungeon. This would be seperated from the open World and won't interfer with the limited 8 man groups.

This is not to prevent the DF queue (from anywhere in the World) for solo or small FC's that can't fill a full Alliance, but as addition for the bigger FC's.

For FC housing you would be able to form an Alliance inside the House and perhaps have something like a Portal reward that let's you choose from the 24man Dungeons.

Don't know if this would be possible to do in 3 weeks, but I would hope it would be faster than 2.2.

I like your ideas (very role-play, integrated with other features such as housing…) but for now I think we should let them figure out how to allow players to pre-make a 24-men group (alliance of 3x8). That would make it so CT was relevant to FC's with more than 8 people. :rolleyes:

I think they are going to hard on this "Casual People", I think I play casually and still want to run content with my FC but being limited to 8 man groups sometimes leaves people out the mix. I think some clarification on the answer to this question would help people know what to look forward to.

I know this if not FFXI but at least we had 18 man groups to do LS content with and everyone was happy. You can't make the one's that do not like LS' and FCs happy while screwing the people who made FCs big for the purpose of running together suffer.

Based on what Yoshi said during the LIVE Letter, it's only temporary. Based on past information they gave us, they had troubles with the alliance UI on PS3 (needed to exclude other UI info to make it fit into the PS3's RAM or something along those lines), and they had to postpone 2.1 due to server/system improvements that were necessary after launch (probably why we had so many maintenances compared to many other MMO's), so hopefully they're back on track with their original schedule and just wanted to roll out CT even if everything wasn't ready yet. I still believe alliances (24-men pre-made groups) should have been like an absolute top-priority, but that's another debate. It was clear they plan on fixing this and allow players to do it. The question isn't "if" but "when". Hopefully, soon, because I know many high-level raiders who are struggling to find something to do 6 out of 7 nights a week, and they usually are more than 8.
