PSA: Wizards of the Coast is planning to deauthorize Dungeons and Dragons' Open Game License in favor of a much more restrictive one that is all but overtly predatory. It will allow them to collect royalties on third party content, shut down any third party product they disapprove of, and use third party content without compensating or accrediting third party content creators (including noncommercial works).
All of which will effectively destroy what allowed the game to become as popular as it has.
Nerds rise up!
But... most of their fans play with third party tools, and online playing has since become a big reason for their popularity.
Still. Wouldn't be the first time Wizards would Forsaken their IP for something stupid, wouldn't it?

Happy Friday the 13th everyone. I might have to make a trip to Crystal Lake today. :)
With both a husband and father whose birthdays fall on the 13th of the month (today for my father and August for my husband); that sort of makes it more interesting.
