There has to be a better way for the game to handle disconnects. My internet was being sketchy today, and I've probably disconnected 4 or 5 times. This doesn't happen everyday, but if it does - each time I'm waiting several minutes for the game to log me out. I don't understand why this is such a problem with this game, other MMO's have far better systems in place to handle disconnect/reconnecting.

It's now been 3 days I've been like this, sent an email to support and their response was "We've already fixed this problem" which is news to me as I can't log in

I have had this error for almost 12 hours now, please log me out.

I have done a ticket, that responded the problem was fixed last patch so I am obviously dumb thinking I am getting this error. I called support, and they told me they are sorry but they have NO AVENUE in which they can elevate an issue like this to someone who can actually help, and suggested I use the forums here to get help. Can you believe that? Final Fantasy Support has no way of calling or emailing anyone who can actually fix a Final Fantasy issue, wonderful. And for those appologists who are going to bash that last statement, I spent 5 minutes on the phone complaining that he was supposed to be able to help yet had no recourse to get help if it wasnt in his scripted response program.

If anyone else is having this issue DO NOT wait on their customer service line or in chat. All they will tell you to do is post on the forums. They cant, or wont, even tell you what thread to post on. Which is kinda shady in my eyes. They will say just "post somewhere on the forums and I am sure the developers will see it". Then laugh.

Hey guys, I just figured out I was actually hacked, even though I had updated my password, it didnt help. I added one time password as soon as guildies said they saw my alt character spamming gold selling shit. But they are still online, and I dont know how to kick them off the account. Changed account password, email, added one time password, tried to log in and got 3102, but it still hasnt knocked them off the account.. Any ideas?

DC'd inside AK and cant log back in error 3102.

All I can say is Tech Support phone and chat will do nothing for you. They will tell you to post on the forums and then a dev will post on here that it has been fixed, well the customer support guy told me it had been fixed days ago. When he actually came here he was like "WOW, guess its not fixed, sorry post on the forums". So now I guess its a waiting game to see if they fix it.

No I wasn't hacked, a friend is in game right now and shows me off line. (Still getting the 3102 error)
I changed my password, multiple times.
I refuse to buy the $10.99 one time password, or authenticator, for a game I cant even get into.
Working with Amazon to get my money back since I CANT even play the game.

Also I just created a character on the JP servers with no problem. So its not my account, its the EU American servers. I tried making one on them and cant.

Well I have reset the password, I have the 1-time password and still getting the 3102 error. I can create other characters on JP servers but not on American. Hopefully the maintenance will fix this.

Unfortunately, it's not me who's suffered this error. Instead, it's a close friend of mine who can't seem to join us in the game. Each time he gets disconnected, he can't seem to log back in. According to him, the game says that the character is still logged in even though he's disconnected and the friends list shows his character offline. He doesn't know the number of the error though, but if this is the thread about this problem, then finger's crossed that I'm not just annoying someone with misinformation.
