I think it'd be a conflict of interest to vote.. as much as i'd love to vote for the girls. If they weren't going to be combined near the end i'd say go for it but, at this point im gonna say judges cant vote. Instead of casting official votes maybe we can just post gentle critiques/opinions/favorite shots of the other genders round?

Wish i had more time to be a judge :( I'll still add my vote whenever i can though :3 Sounds like there's a lot of exciting stuff coming, looking forward to what people come up with!

Also, another great round, can't believe how popular the Arihman mount was, reminded me of mine from the prelims :) such a creepy-but-badass mount though!

I'm honestly torn on the voting question. On the one hand, I understand the conflict of interest issue. But on the other, I feel that if someone would deliberately vote for someone weak to make things easier for "our" team at the end, they shouldn't be a judge anyway! Then again, I know I've stopped voting in the threads to pre-empt any perceived bias since all of my selected judges are still in the contest...

My vote is that judges from the other panel should be allowed to vote alongside everyone else. I'd like to think we've chosen trustworthy judges. I certainly won't complain if we wind up going the other way though, it's definitely valid reasoning.

Not sure, I guess it's a matter of someones perspective? Though the crystal tree is a lovely vista I'd say that's at best 40% crystal?? In my opinion, that doesn't follow the only rule we were given this round. I wouldn't sweat it though. You're doing amazing these rounds, your absolutely adorable and Mugiawara is right you do totally look like a little Serah Farron!

Anyone sweating about the next round? You guys make me second guess, third guess and re guess my pictures so much! @.@

i sent in two pics in case mine didnt meet the ~80% thing.. but Rongi accepted it. Seems the voters are fixating on that number though so, as they say... que sera sera

Thats why i put the ~ so it'd be roughly ~80. Anyone (which is everyone) who fell into the, in my opinion, 60%-80% (and Ciara 100% xD) range was fine. And Tinsley did send in two, the first being if it was enough and the second in case it wasn't, but I felt it was. ^^; I can remove it or change it however you guys feel i should. Let me know!

I was planning on retaking it with the moon in shot and perhaps another pose/gear, I had upgraded my weapon so it had the glow again. Wanted that in there too. xD

To answer your question on the voting forum(i don't wanna reply after already replying once to keep the chatter down and all) Yes ^^ I actually took my hubbys char out, used him to take the shots and the spell effect was him casting Eos or selene^^

Man, I took advice from the few frapsing and it was great to see how many pictures i caught at better times but in the end i still just feel wrong about submitting a picture without the XIV logo on the bottom XD

Aw... you were one of my favorites Vahn! D: You always made very eye appealing shots. And this shot looked totally awesome btw. It's like the crystal is actually being created by your kung fu! Crystal Bender FTW!

Here was mine. It was a total placeholder that looks like crap and took in like 5 secs to take, but I did like how the pose captured that totally pissed off, obnoxious stuck up model expression models use irl! ^^

Yea, I can't think of any battle field to match that awesome-ness for Cycle 3. Ramuh too hard to get into, Titan and Garuda are torture. Leviathan is boring arena. Shiva isn't out yet. @_@ I have the free style battle shot already decided but can't think of a theme specific one. ><

Gilgamesh has an amazing background for a scenic SS but for battle ones i would say Leviathan, i've seen really good screenies in a Leviathan fight u'd be surprised :3

This is seriously gorgeous @_@ Wow. What crystal background is that? I can't think of such pretty pink/purple ones off the top of my head. Vahn's looks awesome as well!
This round is seriously phenomenal everyone. My jaw dropped at Ciara's right at the beginning and it stayed that way through the album. This is gonna be tight.

I wanted to share that I've finally found a use for Tri-Disaster: interesting lighting effects! That's how I got my very weird aurora going on. But it had some cool-looking shots if used at the right angle.

Thanks! I took that one really early on, but as I recall, they're actually primarily blue with a little red. The glow distorted the color quite a bit. It's somewhere in Mor Dhona, but I got it while wandering and couldn't say exactly where. :(

Haha, I actually used tri-disaster for my elemental shoot. It is very neat looking, and has a nice unique animation. Great job again, everyone! This is one of my favorite shoots.

I considered trying to retake it with a more dynamic angle, but in the end decided to stick with the ethereal look of that one. So glad people like it!

The Holy prolly created the purpliness! Very pretty shot, I would have voted for it~

What's done is done but in the future, I'd steer pretty clear of doing this sort of thing MID VOTING. I'm sure as some models aided to the rules and it's possible they sent in screenshots that were much higher crystal count, just to meet the crystal % required (meaning a model could have had a different shot but choose not to submit it because of the ~80% that was mentioned in the email). A few slipped by, which are clearly not 80% but they were approved on the judges based on their evaluation which is fine, ultimately you have that call. But when the 'voters' are actually evaluating shots and have already clearly stated that Yunie's/Tinsley's was not picked because lack of crystal- and then the judges go and remove a text. While it may not be the case it leans towards judges bias towards certain contestants, because they were clearly not getting votes from some users (including myself) because of the statement that was posted. Voters should be voting on not just aesthetics but also what the models had to come up with under restraints. It's exactly what NTM does in many of their immunity/special prize rounds do.

TLDR; Rules really shouldn't be changed AFTER models have submitted their shots. Because that can drastically change the results of what pictures they submit.
