Because there is not one reason people don't want to play healers, there are many.

And unfortunately the JP complaints are different than yours so if SE will make changes based on that it won't turn out how you would expect.

Casual healer are having a terrible time with dungeon if they happens to die at any point. The run will continue without them most of the time, you die at 80% of a boss you can go make yourself a coffee and watch them clear without you.

Raiders are having a good time during progression when mistakes are frequent and there a good healer can really make a difference, and then press the same single one button 85% of the time until the next raid tier.

The raider issue isn't new and was ignored back then and is still as of today, the big talk about healer feeling useless is from the mass of casual players realizing this problem now that tank are soloing the casual content when they die with increasing consistency.

You used an example of an ultimate that actually has proper HPS checks given the tanks and healers don’t have overbloated kits for the most part at that level, I’m not quite sure what you intended from that example.

And let’s say that example filtered down to JP PF for savage and they actually did move the game in a direction where the healer is functionally redundant and it makes the healer population explode. GOOD. I’m not selfish if the majority of healer mains want the healer role to be redundant then they can have it, I’m simply pushing back against your weird assumption that we can’t do anything to healers because it’ll break the role when the role is well and truly broken already

Context is about current savage. Its from thread complaining about healer shortage in JP PF.

You misunderstand me, I am behind healer strike complaints (but not strike itself) and I think healers right now are boring and need help.

Just my fix for the problem is fundamentally different, I don't want game rework, just better reward for optimizing than more glare.

How is this for a raid boss design:
The boss emits a raid wide damage aura, if the tanks maintain a specific threat level, all that damage goes into them. If they don’t, it increasingly goes out on everybody else.

This would make tank swaps interesting and give us a mix of aoe damage or single target damage to heal on a consistent basis. I wouldn’t make it deadly but if left unattended long enough, it would.

This would make sure that healers are always needed because a continuous stream of damage would overload any self healing or mit that the players have over the long term.

Think of it as a no healer soft enrage.

Removing healers would be very healthy for the game.
Give everyone abilities like we have in Variant dungeons / Bozja.

I just find it funny that the role quest teaches you to cast Esuna, and then in savage content it's a useless skill

If I wanted to play a game with a bad story and no trinity I'd go play GW2. At least their netcode isn't garbage.
