just get into mahjong or something
As much as I like narrative I don't think story content is justification for a sub fee. Also I don't understand why another beast tribe daily quest series is being presented as new and exciting content. As much as I've liked the story so far it's still just another beast tribe which we did not need more of. And why are they still being called beast tribes? It doesn't even make sense anymore, it's just used for literally any daily quest faction even when it's not even applicable. Dwarf beast tribe? Pixie Beast Tribe? Apparently Loporits are gonna be another one. Why can't you just refer to them as "X daily quests"? Like "Pixie Daily Quests" or "Arakasadora daily quests". Or just refer to them by zone I dunno just drop this beast tribe title which hasn't made any sense since HW.
Also the reward is yet another animal that logically shouldn't fly and looks ridiculous doing so, a freaking hippo, when we've had flying for 7 years now and yet they still give us flightless land animals that they just let us fly with even though it makes no sense and looks absurd. Can we not get more mounts with wings, or rockets, or some magical aura that suggests levitation, not just giving us more flightless mammals and letting it fly? I'm not gonna farm something that looks ridiculous in flight, or just ridiculous outright (which is 99% of the mounts in this game, I absolutely despise the mount selection in this game, as the devs seem to not realize mounts should be cool not goofy or else nobody is gonna want to strive to grind for them).
I remember the brief period in late Shadowbringers when I entertained the idea that the reward for collecting all EX mounts would be a decently sized Shadow Dragon of some kind. And then they presented a mechanical monstrosity. Perhaps if they had gone for…literally any other design, I would at least have the other Shadowbringers EX fights to farm. I refuse to farm any current EW extremes for the mounts in case we end up with another giant mech, as if the flying lynxes weren’t ridiculous enough.
And all the EXs were just midget dragons that looked goofy and were severely undersized for anyone but lalas. One point I'll give WoW over FF is that their mount variety has always been pretty good, (graphical quality not withstanding), if only because they went for rule of cool. Where as FF seems to have gone for rule of cool only for armor design, but it's as if they have a completley different design philosophy for mounts where they seem to think making them look as dumb and cutesy, and out of place as possible is the correct option. Even most of the store mounts suck for the same reason.
Doing a hunt train however is what truly shines a light on just how goddamn awful and incongruent the mount design in this game is. I dont know who they're meant to appeal to but I want them to fire their mount designer right away. When I dont even want to buy the store mounts because they look so stupid as well you've really screwed up.
In due time hopefully. Can’t wait to have my minions roam in the island. :)
Also I’m still waiting for the Garlean gear since Yoshida confirmed he’s adding them.

They tried to create lasting content, Eureka, Diadem, Bozja. But people complained, relic steps took simply to long. Negative feedback demotivated the team further, thus they stopped creating this type of content. (and tbh, the content was not well-thought, it was miserable)
Instead of learning form their mistakes, they simply canceled content. Old content is just sitting there and collects dust. Instead of refreshing it with new ideas and features, they gave up. I could imagine that some devs left to work on the FF16 project, community standards have been increasing over 10 years of service. Hence, I'd say all in all, expect less content with every expansion. Less dungeons, less jobs, less ultimates.
Still true-ish, considering you have to slog through those first floors every time you want to go with a premade to the later floors.
Though on a personal note, I don't see how anybody can like Deep Dungeon areas, they are insanely boring. You just kill enough enemies to hit the next floor while opening up any silver chests you find. Repeat ad nauseam. I've actually fallen asleep in there from how boring it is (and keep in mind the only other area in this game I've fallen asleep in was Snowcloak, and that was because of the music).
Gathering, Crafting. Making minions, barding, mounts and furniture. :3
