What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

all I'll say is what "end" what final days.. what price to be paid

non of that exist
Final days only touchs garlimold and thav no where else at all that should have streatched out and focus more on the final days end of the world shit, not stupid ass jokes and sitting at a table stuffing down cheese burgers...

and what price the scions just get auto rezed with their sacfice that makes u cry for not even 10mins before they are revived "Again"

also rlly we could gone back in time again and kill mete before she left elpis after getting the info lol preventing end of days for everyone

plus complete waste not turning anima and magi sisters into a trail or at the very least an alliance raid boss.. its depressing that all they got was 5 seconds of half ass hype

I feel like if they have no restriction, they could use that to retcon in whatever they want story wise. Seems like a big thing to just leave hanging without revisiting or saying that it's closed for construction or whatever.

You know final fantasies tend to be very deep at times so it makes sense endwalker was too deep for a lot of people.

Man, my "most Venat-friendly" friend actually immediately said when that came up: "Um, isn't that exactly Thordan's logic? And at the time he was bad for it?" And then we joked a while about how Ilberd is clearly Hydaelyn's real Warrior of Light, because he aligns with her ideology and her methods perfectly, and furthermore, Ilberd Feare has probably won harder than any other FFXIV character ever has, in the long run.

Then I started vaguely thinking about how Hydaelyn and her motivations were, in fact, a weird amalgamation of all major FFXIV villains up until that point (save maybe Nidhogg?), only with those traits framed now as being "good". The rabbit hole deepens. My steps towards full Fandaniel-ization hastens.

Yet there's hundreds of posts of people losing their minds that Venat did this or we did that. I'm not saying you have to like what she, but some here make me think they think they actually live in XIV.

Then it's a shame they didn't. But it would lessen the impact of their tragedy if they were somehow just fine somewhere else. They did that enough with everyone else, I don't want this game becoming like Kingdom Hearts. Hell, Emet even looks like Xehanort in Elpis.

Hence why what happened with Elpis is a tragedy. When I got to Amaurot, and even when I go back there, it was like reaching a certain location in Xenoblade 1: haunting. That there were even quests to do for these effectively ghosts made it worse. TBH, I still have other ideas on what the sound should have been. And while I'm not entirely against Meteion, there was still more I think they should have done, but they'll all be from other games I can't talk about without spoiling, and require rewrite after rewrite of XIV as a whole. If the game was a single player game from the start and not an mmo, I think it would have been the best Final Fantasy they've ever made.
