Daily Ex tonight in Saint Mociannes:
Me WHM, the rest WAR,DRG, and MCH.

Now, I don't mind big pulls as healer, and I don't mind dpsing with them, I actually enjoy being pushed in daily ex runs, but when a tank, especially a WAR runs off in Deliverance, before I can even start to cast Protect, it's a very bad start. WAR stays in Deliverance for the first boss and obv looses hate, also gets in the Bad Breath attack twice, that he didn't even bother to move, just kept dpsing.

After some awkward pulls to the next boss, WAR stays in deliverance and single targets the Honeycomb, letting the adds kill myself and the MCH. At the same time I see an S rank called, and stat thinking I would rather be doing other things than help this dbag. I decide that if I get back to the boss and they pull before I can protect, I'm out. Obv I was out.

It could have been a great run with that team, if only...

You can solo Chimera as dps tho

Was playing as NIN and got Brayflox Longstop in Duty Roulette. Wound up with an inexperienced tank and he kept dropping aggro and actually died on final boss. Never thought I would have to tank as a NIN.

Trying to cap Monk running Vault and Great Gubal Library with in-progress ticked. Get a Vault run 10 minutes in-progress. The last member of the original group leaves just as I get in. We manage to get a new tank and a new DPS but no healer. I decide to take a peek at how far they got five minutes into the waiting game, and what do I find?

...They only made it to the second pull. We had a quick awkward laugh about it before resolving to abandon ship.

Last night I was helping a friend with Castrum Meridianum. I managed to get to get full party and we all proceed to run it as tanks. 4 WARs and 4 PLDs. Let's just say it was awesome! Then we ran Praetorium, but with with 2 tanks, 2, healers and 4 dps. Did I mention both were un-synced lol. Good thing I recorded them both. XD It was the best two runs in a while.

I hope to do some more. heheh.

Another odd Void Ark on AST story.
The alliance didn't manage to kill the towers during the Cuchúlainn fight fast enough, so one of them exploded(?), five people died, the rest got some vulnerability up stack, a lot of damage occured, but nothing that my friend (WHM) and I couldn't heal our party through. But three of the five dead people released instead of waiting for a raise and then screamed "wipe it". And the tanks did wipe it by not pulling the flan adds out of the aoe on purpose. As a note, before we got wiped by the big attack, everyone was at or nearly at full health, so there was no reason to actually wipe it. If someone is supposed to read the chat because they can find good advice there, they ignore it. But if some idiots write shit, people go brain afk and do as they're told without questioning it or watch their full HP gauge ._.

Way to enable lazy healers, it barely takes 2-3 spells for the healer to kill it.

My biggest issue with DF is dps tbh. I just love tanking an instance that has pathing adds and the dps moves to a position they think is best for them to Pew pew, but its past me, then they are now in the aggro range of those pathing adds. Now my options are to let them eat the mobs and then see them jump to the healer OR take twice the adds I planned on, pop all my CDs on trash and pray I am still standing when its over. If I die then I look the scrub because I couldnt survive even though it wouldn't have been an issue.

Other dps issue, possibly related, dps starting pulls. I get it, you want a go go go run BUT if your tanks are even half decent they know their strength and weaknesses and pace themselves accordingly. If you try to force a faster pace what would have been a smooth run, with maybe an extra 5-10 minutes added, can quickly become a Benny Hill skit.

So I had a fun little Library run. This tank was something else, he wasn't bad. But he wasn't good either. He'd do one pull at a time, which is okay, do what you're comfortable with. I still somehow pulled aggro the couple of times I used Death Blossom. But here's the weird part, he took his time with the mobs, but took a shot of coffee or whatever and rushed into the boss arenas. When we got to the last mob I asked how are going to split up. He responded by rushing in as soon as the enemies were dead, the healer was almost locked out. And when the second void call started we all ran around like chickens with our heads cut off.

I hate that the most. People are so quick to give up after the tiniest misstep. My favorite shirt is a black one that just says "Make Mistakes." Make mistakes, learn a little.

60 roulette in Fractal.

I ended up with a tank that appeared to have just hit Lv. 60 as a Dark Knight, judging from how he had lower HP than everyone else in the party (12.5k compared to my 13.5k and the two DPS' 13-14k). Had a mix of leveling, law, and 60 roulette dungeon gear. I figured 'no big deal, I'll just have to watch his health carefully'. I was kinda worried about how the two DPS would react though.

Apparently they had an unspoken agreement to murder everything as fast as possible, like holy crap. And the tank was actually smart enough to use his CDs, which gave me time to join in the murdering myself.

We ended up clearing the dungeon in 18 minutes. The last fight went so quick that the boss died during the second Educator mechanic.

This new WHM in the Arboretum... being new to the dungeon was not the problem. The problem was:
- they spammed Cure 2 and were always OOM
- I swear to god they only casted Cure 2 and Cure. That's it. Nothing else. No Regen, no Shroud, no Medica, no Medica 2.

It was incredible.

The other day I went into Level 50 roulette with my best friend.
There were two other very cool Roegadyn who seemed to be in the same FC.
And they kept making sexual innuendos throughout the whole dungeon.
My best friend even died at some point because she laughed so much she couldn't heal herself.
And at the end of the dungeon I hit lvl 60 BRD and got the achievement "Just talkin' 'bout shafts VI".

It was glorious. >.>

Next week I will buy new video card, but for now I am trying to progress in history with onboard video. Well, yesterday I did The Vault (Sch) and got 4 fps when Ser Charibert started aoe spam o.o I died in lasts seconds, but dps had sucess.

Today I did Roulette Lv50 (Bard) and got Snowcloak as usual xD But today was the first time that I did not die in the last boss o.o Well, I am still noob, but a little less useless xD

Yeah that Altar Pyre is a bitch. I get about 2fps on it, too.

I got in line for my Level 60 roulette, praying I wouldn't get Neverreap for the 4th day in a row. I was graciously blessed with Fractal! Yay!

...that joy quickly faded when I ripped aggro from the i180/200 geared tank on every pull as my WHM in Cleric Stance dpsing. After I've tanked a fair share of pulls past the first boss, the tank stops and says:

"Could you not stand so close? You'll get hit less."

I couldn't even.

After I suggested to form a band, someone decided our first hit will be "And Not a Single Ballad was Sung".

I joined a daily trial to get the remaining 10 eso I needed to cap for the week, and the game picks Titan Hard. Okay, easy stuff right? Not quite...

People can't seem to get out of the weight of the land fast enough, on each attempt the same 2 dps were getting wiped out. One of the healers was getting hit with everything (landslides, bombs, weight). I was the tank and super overgeared, but the second tank kept standing in the front with me, as if they could somehow take hate from me and thought that they were the main tank. Sorry guy, if I'm stealing hate from you in sword oath, you're not the main tank. More annoying though was that him standing there meant he'd often trigger a weight of the land under him, so I had to keep moving the boss away from him... fortunately he was really stupid and usually ate a landslide to the face just before heart phase and would be knocked out for the remainder of the round.

The group tried several times, but always fell apart shortly after heart phase ended. Then the other tank (of all people) ragequits, which allowed me to get the hell out of that party and reroll another Trial.

I'm amazed though, that people still have THAT much trouble with Titan. If only I had Clemency at that level, I could've just solo'd the rest of it myself.

I spammed my weekly alex weekend spam and I was doing A4 and it was getting late for me and I was like, let's do one more! BIG MISTAKE. DPS was extremely low and mechanics were ignored and also we weren't able to work together. I felt like my whm partner was draining his mp idk how. during the doll add stage we stayed on that phase for about 4 or 5 rounds? I've never been in a run where we stayed on one phase for so long. It was torture! :( Obviously wiped, painfully. At first I was mad at the MT because he was just spamming for us to give up because we were gonna wipe and I wanted to not give up! But he obviously knew we were going to slow and it was just not meant to be. Such sadness and frustration especially when I spammed so many runs with no problems that day!

It's not that amazing, really, if you remember that not everyone has played since the beginning. ;) So it's not "still having trouble" for them if they're still pretty new to it. I remember the first time I did Titan HM, I spent more time dead than alive. :rolleyes: Of course, by now I've advanced so much that it's very easy for me, but not everyone is there yet.

So I had a fun experience last night. Did Ex Roulette with a friend. Got Arboretum. I was tanking a PLD, friend was MCH, got an AST and a BRD. First pull, things are going fine, but then a comment in party chat comes up. The healer said, "So MCH, you going to do any damage?". My friend had accidentally hit sprint and had to wait for a bit for regen (which was only a few seconds). We blew it off as a "whatever, just a silly comment". My friend and I are in voice chat btw. No issues after up to the 1st boss, but that would probably be because I kept all the hate on me up till that point, so everyone still had their stoneskins (which btw, I had to put on everyone). So now we're facing the 1st boss. Things seem to be going fine, but then my friend gets hit and poisoned. Nothing too bad, about 1/4 hp still left, so she's fine. My hp is fine, not even 3/4 down. No one else is very hurt. The healer literally LET her die. Lost about 2000 hp from poison and little hits because the healer refused to heal her. We were both sitting there like... wow, really?! I had tried to get a clemency off on her when I realized that the healer wasn't doing anything, but you know, kinda busy trying to tank and I got interrupted. He did decide to raise her though. And of all the timing, he raised her right as the boss decided to do extremely bad breath... So she got up and immediately got a faceful of poison again. This time however, I was thinking, "aw hell naw!" and used cover then clemency to save her. It worked and we finished up the boss. At this point, we were like, wtf is this healer's problem?! So we open the chest and one of the drops is the PLD belt. I had my eso belt, but I rolled NEED on it out of habit as I knew my friend didn't need it either. We kill the 1st guy after the 1st boss and then while beating him up, I get the gear. After we kill the enemy, the healer says, "Wow, that belt sure well do you good with your eso on."
Now normally, I'd be somewhat apologetic as that statement would of led me to believe he wanted/needed for one of his builds. However, seeing as he was being a butt up till now, I decided to throw fuel to the fire. I changed to my "fun outfit" gearset. Essentially, the christmas reindeer outfit. I then equipped the new belt and said, "There! Now it fits perfectly!" and started mandervilling. He was apparently not amused as he then quit on us. Honestly, was not sad at all by this. A new healer joined us in less than a minute and asked what happened. We told her and she just laughed when I told her how I reacted and she saw my outfit. I changed back to my main gear and we proceeded through the rest of the dungeon without any issues (aside from accidentally looking into belladonna's beautiful eyes during Frond Fatale once).

Void Ark

Me as DRK was terrified of our healers(WHMs both)... Let's just say they were too busy with Stone, Stone II and Stone III than healing me. I didn't MT anything.

I tanked the bush in void ark last night as my ilvl 180-ish monk. I did fine until I stopped getting healed during the hiding phase xP. The dragoon in my party took over tanking it when I died lol.

I just left a group for copperbell mines just now on my warrior, eating the 30 minute debuff.

At first when I entered I saw it was copperbell mines so I purposefully logged off hoping they would just kick me. I hate that place.

I logged back on 10 minutes later and AMAZINGLY they still didn't kick me.

I said somewhat awestruck "You didn't kick me"?

And one of them said "No you must have disconnected" and another "We had faith".

So I just chose to leave the group. They should have just kicked me and saved some time.

Literally the worst behavior. If you don't like the area, eat the penalty. Don't be an ass about it, just leave so they can get a replacement. You essentially just wasted 10 minutes, plus whatever time they had to wait on a new tank, of someone else's time because you couldn't eat the penalty for some reason. When you do roulettes, you have to accept that you'll get areas you don't like from time to time and, if you really hate an area, you leave.

Not gonna call ya the worst person ever like some of the others, but I do wanna say -

You can't kick someone for 5 minutes after the dungoun starts (they can't boot you right away)

Usually if you're polite and just ask politely to be removed, most people will oblige you. The reason doesn't really matter, just say there's something else you need to do if that's the case - only the truly spiteful will try to hold you ransom in a party (And at that point you can do what you like.)

I hate this type of behaviour. I would've waited you out on purpose (if the rest of the party didn't care. It is CM after all it's not like it's hard). If you don't want to do what a roulette, aka a RANDOM CHOICE will give you then don't do it or eat your own penalty.

As others have said, it's a pretty big dick move. You should just man up and leave but instead you wasted everyone elses time, nice.

Qued up into leveling roulette this one time as a tank and got Aurum Vale. I hated that place and wanted to leave but I didn't and chose to have faith in my teammates. We beat the dungeon no problem and had a good ol' time. \o/

Static is having a rough time today.

Our NIN appearantly lost power, so we had to seek a rep for our raid night. We put up in PF for A1S + A2S weekly clear party.

A NIN joins. Cool, keeps the things the same, works out. My girlfriend and I notice that he's on both our blacklists, but we decide to give him a chance - he was a carry on Ravana-EX, and had a really poor attitude. WE really didn't like him at all and blacklisted him.

So today we give him a chance. Take him into A1S with us. Does extremely low damage, gets carried for the fight basically with his low DPS.

Oh well. We get ready to do A2S. Only...

He says he hasn't done A2S before. He just didn't tell us because "He wanted to do A1S"

ugh. Some people. We booted him and everyone blacklisted him.

You're abusing (even if by accident) other peoples good will, I've never seen anyone get booted in less than 5-10 minutes for AFK. People will wait for you so the least you can do is be up front with them and tell them you're not doing the run. Especially if you're the tank or healer.

I was in a party with someone like you once. Was Darkhold and one of our members (the tank I think) dc. Not even 30 seconds had gone by before a vote kick popped up. I voted no but they still got kicked. I promptly left the group after that and hoped to God they didn't get any replacements. (I was the healer, felt so sweet)

Surprisingly a lot of people who run DF actually aren't actually selfish jerks - imagine that...

This is also pretty awful, especially if your internet decides to screw with you.

How about instead of dwelling on the past, moving forward you act less selfishly? Remember you aren't the only one playing; your time isn't any more important than the rest of your party's.
