Rules are One house, One FC per account per server. I understand grandfathering, but this is a one-day-old housing and it's rather egregious to happen on day 1. They can't fall back on the "Well, I inherited the FCs over many years" or "Well, I did it when an account could buy more than one FC"

When the lottery was first announced people were making alts with alt fc's and getting gil together to do exactly this. I know of quite a few large FC's that were doing exactly this so its no surprise that its happened. As far as it's concerned they are all different FC's even though the player base knows its the exact same one just with multiple sub branches to get as many houses as possible. It's just sad because not only has OCE been locked out of housing till now, people go and selfishly do this. Does not matter if the DC is new or not it's not right.

i would laugh if they remove them all of them, for exploiting game mechanics. but if they are different players. it fair game

It's very simple, Square should provide housing for all, not an apartment that has reduced features, not one system for some another system for others, simply enough plots so that each player can have a house and as far as FC's go they should be the ones that get a private island. In the early days there was more housing availability than demand, well the playerbase increased, the housing demand has gone up, the funding from subscriptions has gone up but the supply has not. No matter how many winner 0 bugs we have nothing should distract from the point that this entire issue has a very very simple solution, SE needs to provide housing plots to match the sub numbers. They had to stop sales of their game due to demand, there is no way they can say with a clear conscience that they do not have the funding from subs to implement this. Most players would be happy with a small plot and ecstatic for a medium so why not get rid of this template they use and make additional wards but all plots are between medium and small in size (or all smalls) fit more plots in there and have them auto allocated to players who don't already own a house when they reach the requirements, then the player can take their 'GG ya got a house' token to the ward with plots open and hand it to the NPC, nice cutscene, house allocated. Then when that ward fills provide another.

I have been saving up for my very first house, even though I was the only bidder I could not get my home because of the bug....I am so upset and lost now...I am even thinking about giving the game up.....that is how upset I am......I am angry and sad...also the response from FFXIV does not provide how they are going to deal with player who are affected and lost out is even more frustrating....

If there's something that corrupts the list of bids, the Random Number Generator might be asked to pick a winner from zero tickets.

The mistake here is that its a MARKET. With HIGH demand. I've never seen housing have a market limit in other MMOs, but the limit here is what screws us.
