They are still taking into account weak PCs with a 32bit Windows. This means pc with less than or the same as 4GB RAM are considered here and they still have to use some of those 4 or less GB for other tasks.

For comparisons purposes:

• The Base PS4 has 5GB available for games and 8GB in total.
• The Pro has 5,5GB for games and 8GB GDDR5 (+1GB DDR3)
• The Switch 3GB for games and 4GB LPDDR4 RAm in total
• The Xbox One (Base) has 5GB for games and 8GB DDR3 in total
• Xbox One X has 9GB RAM for games and 12GB GDDR5 RAM in total

-> The Xbox and PS4 are certainly above the minimum specs of the Stormblood expansion. The switch could be an issue, but comparing it to the ps3 in this case, isn't fair, because for the PS3 version RAM was an huge limiting factor in the end and switch has >2,5GB more RAM for games than the old playstation console.

I can agree with your last sentence, but i must say that i don't agree with your PS3 vs PC comparison, because every PC which plays Stormblood is (far) better than an PS3, especially in terms of RAM.

If they can prove this one to work, certainly will be one of better polished games released by SE. Nier was pretty good too but its UI isn't as complex as XIV. I think if they can simplify it further, they should. Simpler UI and models doesn't have to mean ugly. Tbh, not expecting much, FF has too much noise from its consumer, it was never a polished series until XIV 2.0.
