Compromise: Just Charge $5 For Now. Once 2.0 is Out, Then Charge $12

ok now i find 5 bucks a fair deal but really why is SE and FFXI the only MMOs who charge a ridiculous price like 12 dollars -.- COME ON! SE get real, ill still pay just like i did FFXI but 12 dollars is still way over the top. Oh and let me guess u pay more every character u have on that account oh and even retainers cost money too huh? >.> oh well i guess SE never changes~

ill still be logged in only helping their wallets lol.

wait, so 12 dollars is rediuclous and SE is the only one who charges that?

so your saying, 12 is rediculous, but 15 for every other MMo is fair? those MMOs are "not rediculously charging"


and dont bring content into it cuz you named 11 and its a vet mmo with TONS of content and charges less then all the other vets

I agree with this 100%, They Supported us for the longest time ( even under Extreme circumstances) like the Major Earthquake and the Major Flood that Caused Japan to go into a " Semi-Recession" and they still worked on the game despite all that, is Noble.

ya u got a point tho they did work on this even with the low energy they cld use during the major earthquake. and i dunno i used to play Dark Age of camelot and played WoW atleast there u dont get charged per new char u make lol >< ffxi i ended up paying 18 bucks a month cuz i had mules. but its fine i just sometimes agree with what others are saying about even charging now but i know they worked for free until now so its fine and that was generous of them :X.

Yes it was Generous of them.. Now were getting somewhere :/

Just as an addendum, the only reason the other games don't charge for additional chars is because theirs can only have one job at a time. With both FF MMOs you can change jobs and level all of them without any conflict. FFXIV has a much greater expanded inventory system than FFXI, which further minimizes the point for getting mules for this game.

well it doesnt matter lol i mean i payed for ffxi cuz it was a great game despite the price and this one will be just as epic so i plan on paying for it too. i dunno how payment is for other games now tbh all i played was ffxi and this game recently lol. before that it was WoW and Dark Age of Camelot, but DAoC is the game i also enjoyed WoW was boring IMO.

i rly hope that we dont lose a huge amount of player base from this payment tho cuz i know a few ppl just dont want it and a lot of ppl have quit alrdy at least on my server lol.

just an fyi for comparison
almost every other mmo out there charges 15(and in some cases even more)

but your attitude is the one most will take
enjoy the game = play the game and pay for the game

i dont think we will lose more then 10% if that of the population with this change, purely cuz the majority of those not wanting to pay, werent even playing but for a few days here and there if even that, or were only checking in at patches.

they arent the ones who are on a daily basis enjoying the game as it is now, so they arent the ones who are going to make the most of it anyway
