Using Medica II between pulls is just a dick move to Tanks and the other Healer it's not something you should be doing but I think some people in old content do stupid things for the hell of it instead of taking it seriously. Though I still see plenty of WHM's in endgame content spamming Medica II when they don't need to. WHM has tons of AoE heals and sometimes a Cure III or medica is a better group heal and doesn't build up aggro.

@MXMoondoggie Thanks for your input. I think that because I am aware of the things you said, it says good things about my progress, and hard work. One thing that really stood out was learning the tanks. I've dreaded the role, but I think leveling them a bit would go a long way towards becoming a great healer. I think I always knew, since I have been sitting on a full set of lv 15 aetherial tank gear that I just won't part with. I know I need to have more faith in my progress and abilities.

A great example of what you talk about happened in Cutter's Cry the other night. A DPS was constantly standing in sand traps and geysers during pulls and taking unnecessary dmg. We also wiped once during Chimera. It doesn't help when I hear how "easy" the early content is when I am having trouble maintaining control :( Anywho, the second go at Chimera was also chaotic. The tank dropped, and the same DPS guy died twice, but somehow I was able to regain control and everyone was alive at the end. :)

WHM that hardly heals and doesn't have SC in WoD.

So I main whm and I duty finder into snowcloak. Its a paladin, summoner and I can't remember the other dps, its been a few months since this happened. So the PLD pulls the first 2 groups and I go into my usual dps rotation, putting a Divine seal'd regen on the tank, making sure hes topped up and then going into the holy spam. Everything goes wonderfully, but after the pull finishes the SMN tells me he "shouldn't have to offheal for me". While SMN and BLM and in lower content arcanists can actually function as healers very well, this was a 50 dungeon and his "offheals" only did about 450. After laughing for almost a full minute IRL (I couldnt believe this guy was actually serious), I just told him to focus on dps, that I had everything under control. The run proceed without incident after that, until last boss where this smn died 3 times due to not hiding behind the glacier.

I am certain about the dungeon (clams, boss with watery add pops) and myself having more HP than the tank. I may have been off on the actual numbers. :confused:

Regardless, while I can understand tanks pulling multiple groups at max level since they over gear the content, doing the same at lower levels ... well, I end up burning through a lot of MP keeping them alive.

Revx is correct. My cures on my lv 41 WHM heal on average for about 491 HP. Only crits go over 500. I'll need to do a Sastasha run to see what I cure for synced, but I know it won't be close to 500.

I haven't been at it that long so I might not have much credibility on this. Worst heal situation I've been in was with a DRK with low hp, every hit took half his health and burned through all my mp. He kept going and tried to aggro possibly 10 or 12 monsters. He died, rage quit, and everyone just got to sit there for like 20 min waiting for a new tank. Idk though, I've only had it for 2-3 months now.

Sounds like your DRK was an "experienced" tank without the gear for his/her DRK to handle mass pulls like that (or with broken gear). Heck, in certain pre-50 dungeons I won't mass pull even sync'd unless I know the healer's good because the mobs just hit too hard.

I'm lvl 60 and I only heal about 200 in Sastasha.

Lol yeah sorry, its just a pet peeve of mine. I didn't mean to seem like a bitch or anything.

And I agree, I hate going into a low level dungeon and the tank "speed running" it by pulling like 6+ mobs because they think its faster. Its not. Its extremely dangerous (chances are we'll wipe, wasting time) and by the end of the fight we'll have to wait for everyone to heal up, if we all survived. Even worse are the one's who blame the Healer if they die. Like, dude, we only have a select few spells at x level, we can't make miracles or cast a spell that COULD have saved you because it is locked behind a level wall.
