Its good gear to have while waiting on Coil2 drops, but none are BiS
Are there any Absolute BiS lists with the new crafted i90 accessories out there?
Woooooo we'll everyone I'm 71/75 on novus. I have 2 maps and enough allied notes to purchase 2 alexandrite and I think I'll do that. I went with det/crit stats. I lov doing hunts I manage to get 3 blood books from a rank a so I purchase my first sands of time and upgrade my leg piece soon I'll do gloves and then boots then body
Hello.
I'm a few weeks into coming back form an 8 month hiatus and have decided to pick up DRG as my main job. I have a somewhat noobish question here. What is it that puts certain pieces of gear ahead of others at the same item level when they have the same STR/VIT/etc.?
Well I just checked your stats and you got low det AND low crit, at this point its pretty normal that your dps isnt really high.
And good lord why 532 acc ?! 492 is the max you want for turn 8 and 9 only. STR isnt everything, lower your acc and get more sec stats
Also if you see people mentionning 460 - 470 dps as a dragoon in turn 8 just dont listen to them since they just lie and most of the time dont post any screenshot too
440-450(ilvl106) Easy in turn 8, even with doing mines and setting off allagan field tower. So 470 shouldnt be hard to obtain actually. Specially if you dont do mechanics.
Also I havent seen a number posted with 470 either syg, but i do believe its possible! http://imgur.com/ofqSZ3T
You know like me that, even if a drg got a lot of det like you Hak, the overall dps result is pretty much dependant of the % of crit hits done. In turn 8 for 470 you'd have to be around like 25% if not more, so unless you re really really lucky on the rng, one person really cant say that shes doin that with consistency even without dealin with mechanics.
maybe with like ST gear and chest + Ramuh ring , Ha choker and stuff to manage to stay in the 492 range of acc its actually "possible" but granted said persons claimin that were doin it way before the gear was in the game, and that only monks were reachin this number, ... nah
Im in the 450 range too over 4mins + on a dummy since I got the T9 chest (this week), doubtfull to do more than that unless like I save an Xpot for the very last 8% on the avatar + makin sure to have BFB and IR used at the same time :p
For any DRGs also clearing t9: do you run 492 or 512 acc? My group, as well as the others i've been in, handle the final phase such that you have to attack Nael from the front, while I have to sneak out to HT/Dis when necessary.
I tried running 492 like this and it leads to a good amount of misses, which really sting in the IDC combo. I started running 512 for this reason, by switching pieces: astrum belt and HA ears instead of HA belt and gloam ears. I don't have reliable parsing to tell which way is better, but I have to imagine not missing is the way to go.
Anyone have experience with this?
