WTFast's trial is pretty crappy. You will barely notice the difference but I've heard the premium is a whole different beast. That being said I use Pingzapper because I could actually see the improvements from the get go with their trial. There's many other VPN programs WTFast is just the most popular.

If they're a weird type of bad where they can actually pull DPS but care about their position on the aggro list, maybe? Or if you do like I did and accidentally use it on a tank. >_>

In my defense, they had just died and the only difference between Goad and Smoke Screen on my layout is Ctrl vs Shift. >_>

Hello! I want to start maining Ninja for this expansion and I would love some tips on how to get better and what would be the optimal rotation and that kind of stuff. Thanks for the help :)

A few pages back someone wrote down the optimal rotation. They also have a pretty decent guide in their signature. NIN is a fast playstyle that can heavily punish your dps for mistakes, so it's not for everyone.

Apologies to all my fellow Ninjas out there. I've been away for a while and in coming back I've found myself with less time than I previously had. Fret not, though, Leggerless, aka LordTiberiusRex, the author of Ninja: Heaven-Sword, will be creating a new thread to keep you all better informed.

In the meantime, I've band-aided the OP with a few updates and quotes straight out of the aforementioned guide. I hope it's enough to hold you all over until the new thread is ready.

Questions for NINs on floor 2 of Alexander. I was doing it last night and felt my DPS numbers kinda low (about 700 across all attempts) and feel that I should maybe be pulling more than that even if I'm just i170. Are other NINs AoEing for better numbers? I'm mostly sticking to single targeting high priority targets. Any advice would be appreciated.

So I'm still leveling my NIN up through HW currently, and I was curious on something. I've never bothered getting Blood for Blood yet. I've played my NIN for a few months now after getting to 50 in a couple weeks. I just never bothered leveling Lancer to get the skill. I've played through all the older content, and all of the end game except for Coil (farmed CT, ST, WoD, and all EX Primals more times than I'd like to count). To date, my lack of Blood for Blood has never caused me any problems and no one has ever remarked upon it. My question is, now in HW, how absolutely necessary is it that I get the skill? Am I going to be a huge hindrance in the future if I don't get it?

Short answer is that yeah, you'll never be able to hit the numbers you're actually supposed to without Blood for Blood. I know it sucks to have to level a class you have no interest in playing because I felt the same way. XD

With how fast you can level now you can level to 34 very quickly though, not a big deal for a necessary ability. 10% damage buff with 25% uptime is pretty vital.

I've yet to try alex but, to me, NIN is very assassin-like, so sticking to priority targets might prove better imo, specially if there are other more AoE heavy DPS members already AoEing in the team. Tho if all that is around is nothing but trash on trash, then yea, AoE all the way.

At least you should have Invigorate so you shouldn't be that far from lvl 34 lancer for BfB... because you have Invigorate, right?

I basically focus on the most dangerous stuff to the tanks and let the AOE guys do their things. Sure, I might not have the DPS numbers they do, but if I'm why the Jagd Doll or Gobbiewalker is dead and not the tank, then that's what matters, no? That said, almost every ninjutsu is obviously Katon, and I will throw out the occassional Death Blossom if I have TP to spare. But there's no way you can maintain AOE the whole fight, so why try?

If you've got a friend on the vehicle thingy, just ask him to put 5 stacks of vulnerability on your target and watch your DPS increase like crazy :3

Not sure what everyone else is hitting but here's a 1052 DPS A1 no war. 1.1k probably viable in a good run with a war.

I am startingto learn Ninja and now the base rotation\priority(i think) but I would like an optimal rotation with oGCDs. The not so obvios ones, when to use them and if I should be doing double oGCDs in between instead of one

yeah i find him answer extremely insulting, it was, the expansion is out for 3 week, then pratice more.... when the trouble can't be solved via pratice since it's tie to the game and how it was coded! seriously, he take us for idiot and moron! i'm quite furious about this answer.

Who is asking about mudra lag?? no one cares about mudra lag, it's not a thing, fix nin tp consumption

After leveling from 50 to 54 I didn't even realize but AE now has positional added to it. So be sure to attack from the rear to get its full power still.

Do things like WTFast and pingzapper actually help with Mudra lag or is it simply placebo?

Your latency directly affects Mudra lag. If you reduce your latency, your Mudras will be smoother.
Unless you are asking if those services actually work? In my experience, they do.

And as long as they do what they're designed to, they'll help with the Mudra.

What a shame, I live in the midwest region yet still run into the overall inconsistent jankiness of mudras. I guess if I really wanted to play NIN I'd have to invest despite my relatively minimal distance and decent connection to the servers. Thanks for the replies.

Which one of them offers a trial version that's the same as the bought version? I'd like to test first before putting down the credit card.
