I still wouldn't call it a downgrade. I highly doubt these shots are shown on max settings, and if I'm not mistaken, Yoshida said that he wanted to make the game more available to lower spec systems while still retaining excellent quality on higher settings.

Wait and see.

That was just a tech demo to show off what the engine can do. It's not going to be Final Fantasy XIV or XV.

Jumping, so many character creation customization,awesome UI integration, the landscape and new graphics are AMAZING, many things from older FF are coming back, ... AWESOMENESS!!!!

2.0 will make FFXIV what it deserves to be: amazingly awesome filled some more wonderfulness!!!

As much as I would like to not get excited by these screens (and by that tech demo), I can't help but be extremely pleased by them. I will certainly tread carefully and not let this excitement get too out of hand, but holy crap are these amazing. That tech demo was equally as impressive.

All we are missing now is some game-play to solidify our belief in FFXIV 2.0 go go yoshi-P :)

Screenshots looks awesome ! especially dialogue box for moogle - I hope they will change it for all scenes like this - looks much better than curretn dialogue box. :))

That fenrir concept makes me wonder whats going on with summoner

His blue color seems to indicate some kind of relation to ice. Possible relation to an ice summon like ive been saying?

woooo! These are really just mind blowing, looking more forward to 2.0 after each new screen that gets posted, have only praise for everything I'm seeing, as long as all the content is going to be incorporated and not delayed.

Anyone who whinges about these screens needs to just die and quit the game now.
