I think we should get a free Twintania mount for this bs....because getting that just from a RAF, a RAF you can't do considering you don't really have many friends at all in reality, is kinda unfair to do.....give us Twintania for this mess. ;)

This is getting ridiculous. Early ass in the morning and I still can't keep in the server due to 90ks 2002s 5006s. I get into a dungeon and random kickout with hell trying to get back in. And release is tuesday. The hell that will ensue.
Something needs to be done here...
Still counting. In the past hour, 8 90ks. SE knows the issue and has yet to say or do anything about it.
Primal also has some pretty high population servers, but I think our characters are more spread out across time zones (or I guess or just less hardcore) than the Aether data center players.
In the case of the other servers on Aether, once they get past the login server and into the lobby server, they cease to cause any further problems since they're no longer interacting with the server that is crashing. At this point, it IS mostly Balmung and Gilgamesh players who are causing the problems, since everyone else isn't stuck in queue for an hour with further risk of getting booted again.
They'll have a war room meeting today and things should get moving. Father's day was probably not the best time to be having server problems.
out of curiousity, is there a way to tell ho much pop balmung and gilg has?
i know theyre number 1 and 2 but idk by how much they differ
Wish they could make kind of a clone world, like an instance world where we could log in and play until we could move into the actual one. IIRC, Guild Wars 2 used this approach to enable everyone a chance to login and play?
SE, since you copied and paste some stuff from them, how about this one? it would greatly help.
oh! what if.. everyone would transfer to Gilgamesh? I hope you are prepared to increase the server loads, a rollback wouldn't be fun to explore o.O
Well.. good luck with that, DEVs.
EDIT: Seems the answer is there, but they have to make it full-scale I guess..

Field instances
For Worlds in which there are a lot of players, we will be preemptively implementing countermeasures to relieve congestion.
As we are expecting congestion in the beginning of Heavensward in Coerthas Central Highlands, Coerthas Western Highlands, and the Sea of Clouds we will be makin these areas into instances. Even though they will remain open field areas, we will separating them into different layers, such as Coerthas Western Highlands 1, 2, and 3. By doing so, we can disperse large amounts of players in a single area.
Using instanced dungeons as an example, similar to how there are a large amount of players undertaking the same instanced dungeon, you aren't able to see these other parties, and the same goes for the field instances; if you are in area 1 then you will not be able to see the players in area 2. You will be able to send tells, but there is a possibility you will not be able to see them.
When travelling via teleport, party members will automatically be distributed to the different areas, so even if you form a party there is a possibility that you are split up, and while this may be an inconvenience, we decided to implement this to ease congestion. When moving around areas by foot or on mounts, you’ll be able to select the layer yourself, so if you want to meet up with other players, please be sure to travel by these means.
We've already decided on which Worlds we will be applying this to, but there is a possibility that we extend this to other Worlds depending on what we see. Additionally, if congestion occurs in other areas besides the three mentioned, there is a possibility that we apply this countermeasure to those areas as well.
