Thank you! I got really lucky, Ragnarok is notoriously expensive but there were 2 up and both for about 5.7m so I think I did well :) Gl to you, I'm sure you'll nab both the kitty and the fish soon!

Not directly related to this thread, but is up-to-date info on the new desynths being tracked/compiled somewhere? I heard Shoni desynths into Heavens Eye IV but I haven't found a proper source for it and angler doesn't have a list for it yet. I could only find info on Nepto (Savage Might IV), Endoceras (Quicktongue IV), and Ninja Betta (Assassin Fry).

The comments sections on angler can be a valuable source of information from people without the app that still want to contribute info. According to the comments Helicoprion apparently desynths into Savage Aim IV, and interestingly Allagan Silk from Blood-red Bonytongue and Allagan Wootz Nugget from Wootz Knifefish Zenith. I assume something desynths into the Kirumu Leather as well.

Just starting to get on the 2.4 Big Fish. In regards to the weather change fish, like Void Bass, going from clear to gloom, does the window only apply to the first 8 hours after the change? Or if it goes clear > Gloom > Gloom can i catch the fish in the second lot of gloom?

I tried it once with mahar: clear -> blizzard -> blizzard, I was only able to get a bite during the first blizzard, but might be bad luck

So for those fish, the timetable on the fishing site doesnt take that into account?

its wrong in the most cases, it will always shows you blizzard = green, regardless of the previous weather condition (in case of mahar)

the only usefull tool on the site is the weather report

Thanks! I'm already done with the fishing for this patch, but you never know when an extra bit of feline luck will be useful in future. :)
