Have had terrible lag for the past 3 days. The game has been unplayable for late game as a result. Have spent most of my night playing other games due to how bad the lag is (I have no issues in any other games. Rift, WoW, League of Legneds, etc).
It would be nice if there were west coast servers. Even without the current issues the best Ping i can get vs this game is about 150-200 fluctuations, where every other game I play I tend to sit around a 40-50 ping because west coast servers are an option. Its really sad to me that Square did not opt for more data centers (especially Europe).

When does the problem occur (always, only during specific times?): usually around 4-8pm ET but can start as early as 2pm and end at 10pm.
Instance dungeons are the worst, but I still get it out in the world.

I feel your pain. Even though I DC/lag all the time in game it seems worse in dungeons and I have lvled as a healer. I've had this problem since launch (when I could get on) but it seems to be getting worse. I lag/dc during off peak hours now too. I've followed all the advice I can find and nothing seems to help.

Seemingly after every update I have terrible lag spike last 3-5 seconds. about 30% of the time I would say i end up being booted with a 90k error. This is the only game/program the has any sort of lag on my pc.
The game is unplayable with the amount of lag others as well as myself receive. I can't believe that this is solely on providers throttling FFXIV:ARR because they are classified as P2P. The problem is far to widespread over different geographic locations and different providers.
I'm assuming this is what's happening to me. People running in fate grinding groups move forward, stop, move forward, stop all night long.. In dungeons I die to things that I am nowhere near. I don't seem to have it as bad as some, and my speed test generates 20mbps down 2 up. Ping is 45ish. I don't lag anywhere else.

- Seems to begin around 3pm EST and continues until after midnight (i.e NA prime time). Issue has become significantly worse since the last maintenance. Latency persists in all areas and instances, but is even worse in the high traffic areas such as Quarrymill, Costa del Sol, Camp Dragonhead, etc.
- The game is currently unplayable with these latency issues persisting. As much as I like the game, I will not continue my subscription unless this gets resolved.

I experience lag mainly inside of Titan Hard Mode. I have cleared everythign else fine. Up until today though I have noticed it to start effecting me inside of AK. Everyone will look as if standing still and then everything will fast pace catch up. Also, on Titan Hard Mode, I get yelled at a LOT for getting hit by plumes, but cannot help the fact becusae they either show up late on my screen OR I am standing what I thought was outside of the AOE and then still die. This makes it unplayable at this point. Hopefully this does not happen in Coil of Bahamut.
Hey guys, a few of us at Plusnet in the UK have identified that there is defiantly a throttling issue on our side. Running wiresharks we have found that our Ellacoya traffic management system is picking up the connections as Peer-to-Peer usage due to how the launcher operates to download updates ect. We have passed this internally to our network team who are dealing with it.
For others that think this is an issue, you can easily determine if it is incorrect throttling by running a wireshark capture.
If you see the IP of 199.91.189.74 or similar numbers, the priority will show as (Differentiated Services Field: 0x00) which is basically the lowest priority.
Me and a few others have asked our networks team to get this amended again as we had corrected the system for the original V1 release but appears to have returned as the servers will have changed.
If SE can confirm if all IPs from 199.91.189.XXX are from the FFXIV servers (or the static IP range that the servers use) it may help us to contact our ISPs and ask them to re-adjust the traffic management systems.
If you need any more info please let me know.

Problem occurs all the time but gets particularly noticeable during prime time.
No P2P shaping going on, appears to be related to Cogent Communications.
Did a Wireshark Capture, looked at 199.91.189.xxx data and it does in fact say Differentiated Services Field: 0x00. Guess I need to bug TWC.
SE, please give us the list or range of IPs that need to be flagged as non P2P, or contact ISPs yourselves (since it is in fact your game, and only your game) so we can fix this.

No specific time, as it happens on and off, with the worst of it in instances. Out of all the instances I've been running lately, the single run of CM I did with someone from my FC is the only time I haven't experienced lag/dc's. On average, I can't count how often I lag, but I dc'd usually 5-7 times each time I run a dungeon, and only in this game.
