Sweeet! I'll just assume that I am to use the round one images? Rongi was saying to me he might set up some kinda round where all the shots must be max zoomed and facing the camera or something to make it easier for me to make a more uniform image.

Either that, or if you'd rather submit some special requirements I can abuse my new-found powers and require that all the male entrants send in a banner shot along with round 1. So you could set whatever requirements would make the banner easiest for you to make awesome, and I'll require them to submit that too :D

So we've been discussing setting up our judging panels, and I have been incredibly kind and attractive in allowing Rongi to claim many of those who had expressed interest so far :p My own team is currently myself and Kyri, so I need two more volunteers to serve as judges for the male contest! Ideally, I'd like to maintain an evenly gendered panel, so I'm looking for one more male and one more female judge, though I'm certainly not married to that idea if anyone really wants to do it. Maxwell, I know you'd mentioned wanting to be a guest judge and I'll certainly bear that in mind if someone's unable to judge a round! Shame, I was really hoping to use you as one of my permanent panel members :p

So, two more judges needed for my panel! Who is interested?

Can I be a judge on both? If so count me in. Regarding the banners, when Rongi asked me to make them, he gave me this image as an example:

Sooo, if we want an image that actually looks more like that one, a guide would be to take a shot in daylight, zoomed as close as possible, looking right at the camera. Backgrounds that contrast the models will make them easier to cut out, so like they are not the same colour as their backdrop lol.

And I'm hesitating between becoming a judge or trying to reapply for another cycle lol(unless that's not allowed if someone already joined a previous cycle)

I think they said you can't join the next cycle but you can try for the one after. That's how it worked from 1-2. :3

Def struggling with round 9!! My idea was kinda shot down by friends and The idea im going for.. well Im a bit worried it's likely done and would rather avoid the retakes waterfall theme again XD

I'm honestly torn on it. My original intention was to not make my judging panel anonymous, based on the fact that half of the reason people seem to enjoy these types of reality show is for the personalities of the judges anyway :p But Rongi raised a good point about potentially making enemies that way...and while I for one don't care, I don't want to force that viewpoint on anyone or make them less comfortable. So once a panel was selected, I intended to ask all the judges what their views were and only do that if everyone was comfortable with it. I definitely like the idea of having an image for the judges panel too, if everyone's willing!

Kaelah, if I don't get anyone else interested then I'm quite happy to have you serve on my panel too - that's a lot of work though! Rongi can you give some more details on the shots needed for the casting call so we can start taking them?

Battle shots and scenic shots are pretty self explanatory unless you have some hidden details :X.

But for outfit coordinating could you explain more what you're looking for? Is that with an NPC or another player?

yah this round is a monster.. it's amazing how limiting it is on what we are able to do. :) glad im not the only one struggling at least

I'm struggling as well. Juggling the primary stipulation of the theme while making an interesting shot/expression/story is pushing my multi-tasking to the limit. @_@ A fun challenge, though.

Awesomesauce. Max zoom and bright shot will be perfect. Trouble I had with this cycle was everyone had different zooms so some are smaller/bigger than others. I tried to resize them but they would have all been tiny if I made them all the same size. xD The variants in pose made it harder too.

There are two contests, one for men and one for women. There's nothing stating that the judges for each have to be those genders themselves. I for one am shooting for an even gender balance in my judges. Once we reach the last rounds, both panels will be combined to make MEGA-JUDGEZORD.

As to judges being on both teams, the only real reason against doing so is that's a -lot- of critiques to have to do. Plus, separate judge crews gives more opportunity for people to get involved. That latter part is just my opinion though, Rongi's may differ.

I'm kind of interested in becoming a judge ;o ... although I'm still in cycle 2 so idk if that's allowed o_O lol...

Question for the judges... do you all do a special save like once per cycle? i.e. Face/Off on SyFy they get a special 1 time save for a contestant (usually used towards the final 8 or so) each season. (actually its something they just started 2 seasons ago...anyway

I think that would be cool for a lil added push/whatever ...sometimes we don't always get the best thing going or its just not well received regardless if it met requirements and if said person was doing good since the start the judges could be like hey...you've been top looks past 6 screenshots and this one was like what happened..so were saving you cause we think you still got what it takes...anyway

Understandable, the way I see it they all have to agree to do it in the first place though, If you have a panel of 3 to 5 judges of different backgrounds I don't see how it could be total favoritism, but yeah I guess I can go with the flow on this reasoning why they might not do it.
