Biggest difference between those is they're far more ornamental and design meshes well, the ones on the cs outfits look like halloween costume bits.

Well, let's see. Metallic decorations attached directly to a piece of armor vs a set of wings designed to look more lifelike and natural?

I feel like you're missing the forest for the trees. The thing is, those 'wings' on the dw gear are designed to look ornamental on the armor.
