I would love to see a community team post on this but they are obviously avoiding it :P I mean we ARE 31 pages in.

I don't think we'll get a response beyond that tweet advising us the price was indeed correct.
I would love to hear the reasoning behind the pricing.
The most we've got for a direct response to the reason of the pricing is from SE_Kahuna on Reddit which was simply "We can't tell you."
Good job.
Has anybody considered that the pound isn't worth the paper its printed on and the price needs to be put up in order for SE to make the same profit?
No?

This is not paper!
Actually its the other way round, the pound is very strong and so they have hiked up the price to rinse it for all its worth,
£100 will buy you close to $150 at the moment,
The answers we are getting is "we cant tell you" which means they know exactly whats going on............
Fair point, but it's not like this doesn't happen with other products. Take the PS4 - launch price in USD $399, launch price in GBP £349. That works out to over $500. Just one example in many. I'm not an expert in economics or anything but I'm sure there must be some reason as to why the UK tends to have such a price disparity. Either way, I think suggesting people write to crimewatch/trading standards/whatever is blowing this whole thing out of proportion. If you don't want to pay £130 for it then vote with your wallets.
