Terrible Payment System

It would be nice to get a response from devs on this.
I would like to know why am i basically forced to use Click and Buy (no other options available, I'm in EU Croatia). :confused:

I would much rather buy crysta with paypal account or use direct credit card payment to SE.

Bumping also, especially as I have just seen a huge post about this also on the official FFXI forum (can't say I've checked there since I quit last year).

Community reps are at least giving a vague response to FFXI players being forced to use Click and Buy :( I guess we're pretty low priority seeing as FFXIV is still F2P, but still that's no excuse especially with so much unrest about this company handling payment!

That thread has had 900+ responses since the end of July..... SE needs to see that no-one wants this company handling the subscription ><

so that is 1200+ posts combinced with the XI and XIV forumes...Sad times SE...sad times...

I'm sure we'll get a response eventually, but this Click and Buy thing seems to be bigger deal, not sure Yoshi and dev team can respond with anything meaningful at the moment as I'm pretty sure it wasn't their choice (XI and perhaps other SE services are switching to Click and Buy too).

Might take a while before we get an official response....at this point i think Yoshi and dev team needs some kind of answer for this too before we get it lol :rolleyes:

They aren't switching to ClickandBuy specifically. They are switching to Square Enix Accounts, to which ClickandBuy is (sadly) the most prominent payment method.

There is (or should be) nothing stopping them from adding further payment options to this interface.

Click & Buy is fine. Way better than that secure code nonsense XI had.

Paypal is easier, yeah, but it's a bigger target for hackers due to its popularity.

I don't like Crysta for the same reason I hate Microsoft points. They're Superman 2-ing us by forcing us to buy *slightly* more crysta than we need to pay for what we want.

Closed click and buy, terrible system, terrible choice to use it, shady as hell. Good job SE.

Please do away with the scamming Click & Buy and go back to taking direct money for Final Fantasy XIV just like you guys had done with FFXI. Click and Buy is a scamming corp. Please do away with them and go back to dealing with credit card company's per month. Thank you!


I wont be using click and buy for when XIV goes live same thing for XI if i ever return sense the fact billing got swapped to click and buy. It's why i quit XI.

Hate to break it to you but there is more then 1200 posts on this. There is another thread with another 300 posts on this subject further down. There is about 1700 NA posts alone.
