Superbolide is a better Invuln to use early than Living Dead, for certain. I do try to limit how much I use it with SGE/SCHs at least, but timing it around when you know a WHM has Benediction or an AST has ED up saves a CD use for the next pack at minimal cost to the healer.

Do I think it's an "on CD" use like Holmgang or HG are? Not at all. But saving it as an emergency button is also a bit of a waste, too. Of course, like many things, it depends heavily on how your party is doing overall and especially requires both healer and tank to be paying attention. I know if I ever get a GNB when I'm on healer, I tend to conserve Benediction (or SGE's quick heals) more than I normally would just in case. It's just an invuln that requires more situational awareness than some others do.

Still better than Living Dead, though. And a heck of a lot less confusing for people unfamiliar with how LD works.

Got the level 89 dungeon, no first timers or sprouts - one is even a battle mentor. Trash is dying slow so I check their gear and none of them are using the free artifact gear, one person is in level 80 gear and the other 2 are in a mix of 80 gear and some 84-87 stuff. I just bounce and take the penalty.

The gear is FREE and the cutscene to unlock the vendor is long enough to not forget about it. Come on, step it up people.

Yeah... I wish people would respect others time more.
It's really frustrating because I am basically always poor and I still manage, even if it's an alt Job and I am just filling in I still put effort into coming prepared and pentameld as much as I can too.
Not saying you need to pentameld altho it's preferred ( at least get the economy BiS then........ ).
But it's pretty obvious when someone doesn't respect the other players around them.

In the end of the day it's a MMO it's fair to have some expectations of other people.

Your post concerns HL content, where it's indeed expected to invest some time and effort.

Their post concerns the most casual content possible in this game. Those players they encountered are indeed lazy (or lost in the game, dunno), but this reaction is rather expeditious as well.

Please don't be so binary about stuff like this, since it clearly depends on the content you're trying to clean.

I am aware of the difference my point still applies.
If you're in the lvl 89 dungeon and you run around with lvl 80 gear then there is something wrong and you're entering the territory of just wasting peoples time and being a burden.
Imo it's essentially the same thing regardless if Savage is more difficult or not.

Examples and comparisons don't have to be identical to still apply.
And I still think it's fair to have some expectations even in the casual content, it doesn't rly matter if it's just a dungeon to me a BLM who's just spamming Blizzard I think is just being disrespectful to everyone else in the group and I think you'd be in the right for either kicking them or leaving ( granted that you try and help them first ).

Well today I had to do something I don't like to do: I had to leave a group.

I queue'd for alliance roulette and ended up in Ridorana Lighthouse. Nobody said hi at the start, I took that as a sign. Anyway, the tank and one of the healers was new.

First boss, both healers frequently die to his Tsunami attack. I did die once to this myself, oops. Since healers were constantly getting hit and dying to Tsunami, this led to sparse healing on the group. Many, many, many deaths ensued. Thank goodness we had a summoner, but they could only do so much. Nobody killed the adds that popped up, leading to everyone except the tank to die. Several rounds of other alliances rezzing our healers later, some of the group was more or less back up. The fight went on for so long that we saw a second set of adds, which of course exploded because they weren't killed. Several people said in chat to just LB3, but the healers were just sitting on it for a while, until finally one of our healers decided to use it. But half the group died again right away. We had enough people alive to kill it. Oh and did I mention that alliance A's tank (not my alliance) was tanking without a tank stance? And they were lacking a healer because one left at the start? Oh and also you know those red arrows that appear over your head and you are supposed to stack with your group when you get them? Everyone decided to run away from me when I was trying to stack with them. Yea sorry but I wasn't about to deal with the rest of the raid when the first boss went that poorly. So I left.

Honestly this has been my experience with lighthouse everytime, the first boss is the worst but everyone does okay later. I think it's just new players mostly and maybe some who haven't done it an awhile and forgot mechs or something.

This has been my experience with those markers recently. Either everyone spreads out, even the mentors who are in the runs, or they all run across the arena away from someone who is right beside them. I'm honestly wanting the devs to make another dungeon boss like the second one in Bardam's Mettle. 100% mechanics, no attacking. But it's all the mechanics that are screwed up 90% of the time in other content.

The worst is when you stack with another person and think you're safe and focus on other stuff, only to find yourself exploding because the person you stacked with decided to nope out of it (especially at the last second).

Was doing Malikah's Well and the team wiped at Storge. That's fine, no problem, let's try again. I was running back to the boss, weirded out that there was no shortcut, only to realize I had been running backwards to the first boss area. I was so embarrassed for wasting my team's time like that! But it was cool, got three commendations at the end, I guess my misdirection made them crack a smile at least.
