AST at the start of 3.0 was so bad, it could barely heal or sometimes not even able to keep a tank alive who pulled everything in "casual" dungeons, while the SCH/WHM could do heal the same pulls easily and DPS at the same time. Tanks pull big and don't even ask. You can't have a healer that bad. A big part of the fix to this was giving AST divine seal in synastry, which why I don't get why people thought divine seal was unique to WHM and they are no loosing this uniqueness. Also this probably explains why divine seal is going to the cross role actions. SE wants to make sure they don't repeat that mistake they did with AST again.

Has anyone translated the role skill divine seal? Is still the same skill or did they adjust it? The new role skill could be synastry with the divine seal name. Not all of the skills became a direct copy of the original skill it would seem.

Nope they are just complaining with little to no information. That would be cool if they did it. I didn't about that.

I think the only thing known is that it has an icon that looks like a recolored divine seal and it name translates to Affection. Also the WHM hotbar didn't have divine seal on it. From that people assume that means divine seal has been renamed and moved into the healer role skills.

Affection does seem like a strange name for something that is just divine seal. That name would make more sense if its synastry.

I healed with AST in casual dungeons it could, by all means, heal big pulls. It just took more for them to do it, which is fine considering the buffs they bring.
It SHOULDN'T be as easy to heal on AST as it is on WHM.

Also how is Divine Seal not unique? It's WHMs only healing buff and the only thing that truly kept them above other healers. Now it's gone.

The real problem is that people who play their roles don't adjust to what their healing partner brings. Astros complained because their heals were not strong enough when healing with a SCH because SCHs played the same as if they had a WHM.

The point of AST was to bring more raid DPS, not self DPS like SCH. So if you have WHM AST, you get more raid DPS, less individual DPS as a SCH would bring, but overall DPS is the same.

An AST SCH, the SCH should have to heal more because AST heals are not as potent as WHM, so you get less self DPS, but more raid DPS due to AST. Overall DPS should end up being the same.

SCHs didn't adjust though. So ASTs bitched and got buffed in heals and now it's unbalanced.

Divine seal is the same vain as synastry. it's effects are not identical but they served the same purpose. Synastry is more flexible imo over divine seal. So we will have to see what the new role skill is. if the new role skill is "divine seal" astrologians just took a nerf. if it is synastry then whm just got a buff. i mean we really need to see what it is before we continue with all this whining. Divine seal increases healing by 30% for 15 seconds. Synastry increase healing by 20% for 20 and you can heal two people at once. I know which one i prefer.

Its not the same.

For example, Healers and Tanks DPSing, does not interfere with a DPS' ability to dish out DPS. When there is no more DPS to deal, you win.

Clemency can replace actions that healers would have needed to take. IMO it goes too far.

Personally I don't care about self heals, as everyone has some responsibility over their own HP, but it is a healer thing to have some responsibility over increasing the hp of other party members.
