Please make the in-game Au Ra (Males) more muscular, reflective of the Artwork

i get you terin. id like to see more muscular playable characters in the game too. not that im unhappy with highlanders and roes tho. i love highlanders and roes. roes have awesome shoulders and highlanders have really nice pecs

maybe in the future we'll get another muscular race, but tbh i kinda doubt it. since theyre calling aura muscular and theyre giving us that now, they might give us something like miqote or elezen next

highlanders and roes have the chance to be ripped while auras dont. im thinking maybe this is because of their scales. maybe the muscles would interfere with the scales? but auras are taller than highlanders and have a more pronounced vshape so theres that.

i wouldnt count too much on them changing the aura designs. i think it might be too late for that XP

Well, it probably is too late... but still, I'd like to *hope* they reconsider, at least for the Xaela. Maybe they'll look less feminine once we can change their /stance, but they definitely aren't up to what Yoshi-P described them as being at the past Fanfest.

Yes I would like to see more muscle defined and slightly more buffed Au Ra. Or at least enable a muscle difiner toggle like the Highlanders. I think the Au Ra needs more muscle in order to support the extra weight from the horns and scales on them. The bodies in this game look weird. I never got the censoring of niples on males. And the muscle definition is also weird. The bodies look like a pile of mud or plasteline to me.

Yeah, characters' skin has always struggled against the game's lighting effects. At some point, I think they'll probably have to do another pass on them, just to smooth out the edges a little.

In any case, I *like* the Au Ra, but if they were at least made a little more muscular -- specifically the Xaela -- I would absolutely *LOVE* them. Furthermore, it might help fight off the feeling of FFXIV being a game with a sort of "girly" aesthetic, from time to time.

Perhaps Au Ra body shape was purposely made to fill so that all male body shape is represented? I have heard that many decades ago a small waist in body builders were ideal?

In the Benchmark (and I think on the main site now, too), we learn about the two Tribes/Clans of Au Ra. The Raen are a very peaceful, tranquil sort of people. Meanwhile, the Xaela are warmongers, who spend entire generations warring with one another, as a way of life.

In fairness, I'd actually like to have seen *all* of the Tribes have more noticeable differences, but with the Au Ra, I feel like it's an opportunity to do just that. For the peaceful Raen, maybe the slender character makes more sense, but for the warring Xaela, it *sounds* more like they would have a little more brawn to their appearance, which is what I'm hoping for anyways.

They are muscular. They just aren't roided out hulks like a certain race *stares at male roes*

In theory, that makes complete sense, and it's what I've been asking about for a while; with new Races, comes new body-types.

The issue is, I don't think the current Au Ra really fit that body-type B. They're more of a very thin D, much like the Elezen. Their chests ought to be a little more broad, giving them more of that "V" shape. As it stands, they just look very fragile there.

The one concession I'll make is that, yeah, they definitely look bigger when wearing equipment. I'm not sure why that is, because even though they aren't physically that different from Elezen, you can definitely tell a subtle difference that the equipment looks slightly larger when an Au Ra is wearing it, in the Benchmark. I dunno, maybe they *have* been toying around with the idea of making them larger, and just kept their unarmored bodies small, for some reason?
