I didn't really watch all the videos and to be honest I couldn't listen to it 30 secs in :P
it killed my ears and I thought that it was just me, there were a lot of unnecessary comments so I tried skipping to the 'good' part but couldn't find anything serious- maybe I skipped too much. Well, watching those is optional, if the models do not find it helpful, they shouldn't watch it and just ignore it :3

Let's all delete these comments and stop the negative energy. We have to save it for when the Cycle begins! xD

It took us 12 hours, across two days, to record everyone's critiques. We had gone through pictures before together (on the ifrit prelim shots) and thought it would be fun to record it this time since we are both judges for the youtube cycle. One of the largest requests from cycle two was direct feed back, in order for models to know what the judges were looking for.

Throughout the recording we were clearly having fun. At the same time, we tried to express what we liked and disliked about each shot. We talked about outfits, composition, lighting, etc. for all the shots. We deliberately tried to avoid talking about the models personally. For example, I didn't say something like "This model's hair color makes them look pretentious in the shot." I find it ironic that you are cautioning us to remember to be polite, yet in two sentences I was called drunk, loud, mean, not serious and a high school snob. Even still, I think you have the right to not only think that, but say that, thus my first response.

As for making people feel bad, I'm certainly not out to ruin anyone's day. All opinions are clearing subjective in this case, which was mentioned in the disclaimer of the first video post. To insist that every picture should get the same praise, on account of the model's feelings, would be entirely disingenuous though. When the models are awarded scores at the end of each round, some will be higher than others. Should all models receive the same score because the model that gets a 3 will be upset because s/he sees that another model got a 12? I can't, and wouldn't want to, make the pictures equal. I can try to point out what I like and dislike in each. If you disagree, that's fine; wonderful even. If you'd like to make your own videos and adhere to your ideals of how they should be done, that would be even better. The more the merrier. I'm sure the more feedback the models receive the better.

No, your right. As someone who takes great pride for being well known as a friendly, nice and caring person my words were less then favorable to get my point across. Though I would rather the subject drop and allow everyone to continue having a good time the sudden pause in the thread leaves me feeling I should say this last post before making my peace in order to ensure everyone gets along and can continue having a great time.


This post is intended to the three of you friends naturally as Ive upset you all and wish to redeem our forum relationship as just nice people posting on Lodestone. Two wrongs don't make a right.. My words were indeed harsh even if I hold to my belief that some of the criticism given seemed a bit more upsetting then I had expected to hear from people I enjoy listening to on lodestone forums. For that I apologize for my childish behavior in the matter. You both tried to have fun with this contest and I recall in earlier forums talk of enjoying lunch and talking of the contest together(though I believe that was kai and narkio, who by the way congrats on your engagement!) and I can tell that this is a fun event for you all as it has been with friends of mine as well. You put time and effort into making a personal set of You Tube videos to share with people before the actual you tube contest begins. I agree with Kuri's above post that each picture will not receive the same praise and that's a good thing because otherwise we would never get anywhere with this contest. Everyone will always have their own opinions and that's a great thing too, leading for different contestants to have a more fair footing on rounds.


Now as a Judge for this upcoming round in YT I felt that some of the videos were hurtful. A example would be Fruity's. Shortly after she saw her video her response did not seem to be in thanks, rather upset by it, nor could I really blame her. She seemed hurt. Perhaps I read this wrong but it was that comment that had me start watching the videos and I grew to be upset that two of the other judges I would be working with were already hurting peoples feelings and the round hadn't even started yet. I was upset and over reacted in my choice of wording. Normally I am one to bite my tongue and smart enough to know not to post when my emotions are less then favorable. This time I made a mistake and I have apologized for it. Many of the models quite liked what you had to say about them and you should be glad that the overall census is positive. Try not to be so upset that one person voiced a rather childish negative remark to something they found offensive or assume that one is emotionally unstable because you disagree. In a way though it was harsh criticism it should be taken as such, as was to some of your opinions of contestants shots. I guess what im trying to say, is if your going to criticize harshly at times, don't be so upset when the same is returned to your critique.

In any case I would like to put this behind us, extend my apology for a embarrassing choice in wording and work together to ensure that the upcoming cycles are enjoyed by all contestants, fans and fun for us as well.

With that said I have said my peace on this matter and hope that this post will bring back the liveliness and fun atmosphere of ENTM. Consider this my dropping the matter. BIG NEWS

Big announcement for the Youtube Cycle. During Photoshoot 1 and 8...dun dun dunnnnnn...Cropping will be allowed!!!! There will be strict guidelines, but cropping is needed for the over-all effect I am going for for the themes of those two photoshoots.

I know, big shock. Everyone take a moment to breath.

Cycle 1's first photoshoot was the beach, so lets pretend that Bikinis was the theme for the cycle. Cycle 2's was Librarians. Can any one guess was Cycle YT's theme is gonna be? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I Am so excited!!! xDDD

Do you guys want a hint? :))))) If this post gets...15 likes I will post a hint. xDDD

Photoshoot list will be sent out Wednesday night (or as soon as all 8 models who were officially cast email me)
