My problem is there isn't a very large amount of things to do BEFORE end game. Well, perhaps there are many things, but they are all the same.
lol name me one game that doesnt have "patterns" to bosses. Thats all video games have been since the beginning. One MMO!
/sigh ... no im not subbing for a few months. Game needs a lot of work, mostly to do with handling this shit filled community which has somehow gotten lower and more pathetic than even WoWs. A shameful fact only made worse when you consider it only has a fraction of the population and no epeen stroking neanderthals brought on by PvP (yet).
Then there is the RMT problems, FATE imbalance, all end game b/s, etc... etc. Love Yoshi-P and his dedication to the game which is why im even keeping an eye on it for when things level out. For now ... no.
yes if they implement server transfer and NA can go to JP servers
I have a couple questions, How long does it take to make an MMO?
And did ARR have the same amount of time to develop like Everquest?
Since Everquest had months of content on release in comparison to ARR, one would assume that ARR didn't have the same amount of time to develop content. However If took the same amount of time to make both games, SE doesn't really have much of an excuse then.
I will be very happy to see some people go.
indeed
The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters.
pretty much. the alchemist posts are extremely bias towards the negative. i mean if you dont like FFXIV, why are you still here?
when i started to dislike the things that was occurring on SW:TOR, i didnt troll the forum as it would have been a waste of time.
Why is it that if someone likes a game, they get called a "white knight"? Seriously, let people have their opinions, even if you don't agree with them. We are not 5 year old children. You can still voice your opinion and not be a jerk about it.
Difference: When someone has an opinion or dislike aspects of this game they get told either:
1. They're a troll.
2. They're negative.
3. WoW is --> Way or <-- Way
4. Go back to FFXI
The thing with being called a white knight isn't because someone likes the game, no, it's because the ones who get called that finds no faults with the game, accepts everything SE does and tell people who think otherwise the above - basically protecting the woman (SE/XIV.)
In fairness, some people ARE being negative and absolutely refuse to take any suggestions given to them and verbally attack others. But the term white knight has started to come into play almost every time there is a anti-se topic. Moment they say anything about how they like the game for reasons the op or someone else may dislike it, boom white knight title.
Nope.Quote:
Are you going to continue playing and why?
Will come back next year when there are new classes.
Game how it is now is just boring at Lvl 50.
@Edit: I'm back and try out the new content, sadly no new class though...
hell no
game was rushed and it sucks.
I will not be subbing. XIV looks pretty, but it plays like a single player counsel game and has to many odd restrictions/limitations. I love immersion, so this one isn't for me (currently), maybe things will change?
I have decided to play Rift, since it's free.
I definitely will. I actually expect the game to get better once subscriptions start.
I've already paid for 90 days and will be happy to stay. I feel somewhat bad for the people who've chosen to zip through content and focus on one and only one activity, but I suspect there's no pleasing these people. They've already left every other game (else why would the be buzzing around here insulting people who actually like the game?), and they're just going to leave FFXIV, too. While it would be nice to be able to give them something they like and make them happy, it just doesn't seem likely that will ever happen. They'll move on from FFXIV, head to a new game, and then leave that one, too, when it doesn't meet their standards, just like very game before it.
I will subscribe because I am still enjoying the game, I enjoy the people in my FC and I enjoy playing with my friends. I am still enjoying progression through Coil.
There are quite a few things I am looking forward to in 2.1 and 2.2 so I want to stick around until then at the very least.
You can safely ignore the OP as not actually having experience with any of the things he's bashing. He knows nothing of Titan, and probably neither of the other HM fights. I think people are unaware that we can see their characters on lodestone and check their achievements. lol
I subbed for 90 days already.
I plan to stay subscribed because, well I enjoy the game.
There is always something to do in the game, which is good.
What also helps is that I have friends and family that play the game and they make the experience quite enjoyable.
I guess that makes me a white knight, the way the word is thrown around, it applies to anyone who likes the game.
thats true lol.
A game should be fun out the gates not after your done with everything. this game has a worse time sink then FFXI atleast i was able to do different stuff in that game and not spam one piece of content 50+ times.
after 3 years of this game im not subbing.
Will wait and see what 2.1 brings. Not subbing for now. Endgame is incredibly boring.
Nah, I'm holding off for now. I can't really get into my character because of the lack of appearance slots, and they just said that wasn't coming in 2.1. I've got one character who can do everything, but I don't get to pick how they look. It really prevents me from investing time or getting attached to my character.
There are a lot of small issues I have with the game, and if they were even addressed by SE, then I would sub.
Subscribed for 180 days. I have all jobs 50, all relics, and I still find things to do and have fun!
I set up my sub the second day of early access and haven't even come close to reconsidering.
Subbed for 6 months. I have no real interest in end game most of the complaints i see don't really effect me.
As for SE creating the end game problems, I disagree, If the people playing the game refuse to help each other progress because they are too busy rushing through content then it is the people playing the game that is the problem. SE should not have to create a game that forces people to be polite and helpful to one another.
I am going to re up. but im pretty sure if bosses didnt have patterns and were totally rng the same people would be complaining about bad rng and wipes. lose lose situation.
I WILL NOT SUB!!! (because I already did)
Ouch. This is too true.
Anyways, in response to the OP... Despite my harsh criticisms of the game(SE's clunky battle system, the delay attached to everything, watered down textures, no racially varied battle/casting animations), me and my girlfriend are subbing. At least a couple months. My brother and my two buddies already quit, we're all that's left. :/
I have hopes that SE can address some of the more important issues with the game. I want this game to be great, honestly; so far I've been mostly disappointed. Let's see how the game is... in 3 to 6 months? That'll determine the longevity for me.
I subbed for 180 days since it was only like 40 dollars or less.
Sadly I won't be able to play at all for like the next two months.
I can't wait until the end of free play combined with the new wow patch removes all the wow players. Awesome timing there, without the patch some of these people might sub. As much as I like the game now, it will be so much better when these people are gone, less stress on the servers too.
Yes I will
So where is that patch? Originally it consists the features suppose to be ready at launch. When it was launch they said "ok 2.1 is done but wait 2 weeks untill we balance a bit" Now month later still no word on patch other then scetchy notice that "we plan to release major content patch every 3 months"
So there you have it, original mmo hoax all over again. You are not paying sub because of the content that is in game, you are paying it for the next patch that is supposively "just around the corner" The content is pretty good quality so far but there just is not enough lvl50 stuff to justify paying monthly fee atm.
hell nooooo, I only tried this game to fill in until wildstar but its just boring. Just been browsing the forums the last 2-3 weeks while my subscription is still active.
I'll be subscribing. I make more than 15 dollars a month, so it's not a big deal.
Yes. I will sub. I am taking the story and the world one step at a time, and I am finding that a lot of attention to detail was put into the game. I like that. I will support it.
Considering my boyfriend dumped over $100 on buying this game for me and upgrading my video card so that my computer could actually run it, I sorta owe it to him to sub for at least a few months, gameplay aside. ^_^;;
