ENB Injector for FFXIV (wip)

Prior to players sharing their ENB settings, there is a useful program called "ENB Manager and Changer" from the Skyrim Nexus website. It allows you to freely swap in and out different ENB settings. While it is designed for skyrim, it may prove useful here eventually.

That said, can someone release a template config file please...

I use sweet FX wich make your font kinda unreadable. Working on that :S

Why are you posting this? It's already been indicated that this injector does not violate the terms of service.

Is it support? Absolutely not, obviously. But it isn't going to get you banned for using it either.

Current fps's In cities: 30-50
Current Fps's Outside: 25-60
Depending on how many people are around and whats going on. In my 1st post with the purple, its Odin's fight. Was a Bajillion people there so my FPS was around 25-30. Also, I run this game with FULL graphics enabled. With that being said, depending on rigs settings, performances and setups can play a major factor in what your/other peoples results will be.

You would get the same if not more performance, using ONE 680. Heck, I get the same performance you're listing on my single 7870 Myst.
I don't think they've fixed sli/xfire yet.
I should add I play at 1080p, everything on high/max, FXAA off (using SweetFX SMAA which does the same intended job without blurring the entire image) + SweetFX lumasharpen and vibrance.

ENB works for all relevant clients the same, it's whether or not the program will accept the foreign .dll injection. FFXIV has yet to work with any ENB versions and as has been mentioned since alpha, when queried, no one comes forward to detail which one they used.

That's all that matters at this point. Until that's achieved, it won't work as intended and there's only three really useful features of ENB - camera lens, depth of field and ambient occlusion. You're better off sticking with Sweet FX which does work.

Additionally all of things in SweetFX can be achieved through graphics card driver settings or monitor adjustments:

SMAA [SweetFX]{Does not work} = FXAA [FFXIV]{FXAA/Morphological filtering no longer needed via graphics panel as in game AA works properly in retail client - and provides multi layered transparency AA, which standard FXAA does not]
Pre/post sharpening [SweetFX] = LOD Bias [Graphics card options{Nvidia Inspector/Radeon Pro}]
Tone mapping [SweetFX] = Gamma [FFXIV] Brightness/Contrast [Monitor Settings] Exposure/Saturation [Monitor settings or Graphics card panel for desktop adjustments]
Sepia [SweetFX] = Hue/Saturation [Monitor settings or Graphics card panel for desktop adjustments]
Bloom [SweetFX] = Similar to tone mapping above - can be achieved modifying those same features

Lastly, a color calibration profile from a product like the Spyder Express series can make a world of difference - especially for those whom don't have an on screen display/adjustment menu for their monitor.

SMAA does work. I have in game FXAA off, and SMAA on...if it weren't working, there would be terribly jaggies, which there isn't.

Alright, with the CM giving the green light on this, OP, you need to come back on this thread and tell us how it's done so us less savvy folk with ENB and SweetFX can do the same!

I've been trying to make SweetFX work but to no avail. It crashes to desktop as soon as the client starts. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I use the last one from this. Just put it in your 'game' folder.

If its crashing, then it's likely one of the unsupported versions (anything before 1.5 wont work)

Yep. That's the one I got. Took the settings from the last part of the post as well. Still couldn't get it to work.

EDIT: Got it to work. It seems I downloaded the settings text file incorrectly. Thanks!

Made 3 blogs with various sweetfx presets ranging from dark/cinematic through to vibrant. I take no credit for the presets, I just randomly used different ones other people posted for other games lol. I like to tweak not start from scratch ;x

I really like how the Dark/Cinematic really helps focus lighting and shadows rather than having everything lit up. Its a shame we cannot overlay the UI as it really makes the text go funny and barely readable like how the font in FF9 on PS1 was barely legible...

The sharpening really brings back character armour detail to quasi version1 standards.

Altanas, where could we dowload these presets? Could you post them here?

so far he has posted just screenies, not sure why he chooses to delay the release as its fine from what i have seen, and that its approved , i read the ToS and even called over phone to confirm the allowed of 3rd party post processing effects to improve image, and pretty much bases was we allowed do what we want, just longs you don't break any of rules, and rules are on website, and that sweetfx is allowed, thus ENB is also allowed, but he may not wanna post it, who knows, but il be working on my enb for next few days and post it here and make a thread so people won't have to guess or wait if he is going post it or not, i offered to help him in perfecting it, but got no reply so, il just make one for my self and everyone on here. give me some time.

Sounds great! Unforunately I most likely wont be able to run your ENB on my system since it usually requires alot more power. SweetFX runs just fine on my system, with the exact same frate rates as without and GPU is a little less stressed actually. Even with MSAA on.

4gb DDR2 ram
intel core 2 quad 2,33ghz (OC 2,8ghz)

i'l make 3 different versions, one for high performance PC Mid range gaming PC and Light Form , but it will take some time for me to do this, as its just time consuming, would liked to work on his preset to improve on it, so that it be easyer for me to make different version for people depending on there system spec's.

Put the specular intensities all at .5

Both of the software mentioned provide interesting visual improvements, so it is a shame my PC wouldn't be able to handle then in addition to the game.

From what ive experienced and heard from other people, SweetFX actually improves your FPS count by lessening the stress on your GPU. No idea why. Just disable in-game Anti-Aliasing and HDR, and replace it with SweetFX MSAA and HDR imitation.
Atleast my game runs just as smoothly as without it, and looks WAY better with MSAA, bloom, HDR and sharpening. GPU is also taking less heat.

This is the version I got the game to work with.

As i use ENB in everything i can, i have been wanting to mess with it myself to see what results i could get, instead i been sucked into playing at 5760*1080 res all the time max settings and still get between 30-60 fps in busy places, and in instances [with caps removed] 130+. i did test low settings and was hitting 240 fps lol.

Would be great to get some shots in 5760*1080 with enb

Ridiculous resolution. Wish I had a TV big enough to do the same :P
Currently on a 1680x1050 native reso monitor, using 1920x1200 (downsampling). MSAA on top of that looks pretty smooth. :)

i play at 2720x1600 with 60fps with sweetfx i turn off fxaa, as of moment smaa does not work for me or i can't tell it does, so i play at high res to get AA single monitor. depending how much new 290x cost i may get 2 of them or something, will see.

I just tried SweetFX but don't like it much. It affects the UI and text sharpness in the game too and I don't like it.

I call BS on OP, he's just using sweetfx. Most versions of enb wont render the game at all with any settings, and the ones that do will make half the textures purely white because they lack the maps needed for like half the post processing effects

I've been using SweetFX since beta, but no problems with screenshots (using alt+prntscrn method, so 2 copies of the image)

hmm...i wonder if my computer can run ENB on ffxiv...

seems to have trouble with skyrim...but then again...skyrim.

Come on OP, give us your settings! I've got ENB running with ARR but the bloom is crazy and seems to stay too bright no matter what settings I change.

I second this notion. I've been trying like crazy to get ENB to work with FFXIV and the best I can get is some overly bloomy effect that doesn't seem to respond to whatever settings I throw at it..We know that SE won't ban for it, so let us have it!
