Easier Crossbar & Targeting VIDEO Tutorial

I wonder if you could change the function of the button...What does the "lock on target" function do anyway?

Well, there is a solution. At the cost of one button. Just use the sheath/unsheath main action. That's what I did because I was getting crazy.

Still you didn't mention that this setting messes up with the weaver configuration! Not a big deal, one just needs to add the crafing log in the DoH action hotbar.

Lock on, locks the camera so that you are always looking at your target. I use it a lot with my archer class, but nothing else really

I haven't tried the weaver class yet... although i have it setup... but i have logs pertaining to each class always on my hotbars. ie... hunting log on battle class.. fishing log on fisher... etc.

I haven't thought about using the main action for stance... i think i will actually implement this to my R2+O crossbar because I noticed that if I am already locked onto a target, i sometimes accidentally activate that skill... which is "mark to ignore 1" lol.... my party is always like... "huh!?!?" haha

Forgot to mention you need to be holding down L2 or R2 when using the L1/2 bumpers to switch enemies... It becomes second nature because you are already holding down one of the trigger buttons to perform a skill anyway.

Yesterday it was a mess. I switched to CNK to do some dungeons fast (you get selected immediately as a healer) for the loot, and the new setting drove me crazy. That stupid Lock is ridiculous! Why didn't SE put a single button for sheathe/unsheathe?! I am going to write a bug report for that. And I want it on L1. Such a great job the did with the game on PS3 ruined by the most stupid things.

Yeah unfortunately lockon is attached to draw/unsheathe... I don't have too many issues with it, but I guess i trained myself to do a combination of buttons subconsciously.

just noticed that youtube and SE are having issues with something with some of my videos... can you guys still watch this video or is it currently unavailable?

Another hint: if you are in unarmed mode and get attacked just use auto-attack on the enemy and it switches to armed mode with all the most needed hotbars. My problem is that since I use mages I removed it. That's why I was doomed.

And yes, L2/R2+L1/R1 cycles through all enemies selecting them!! Another life saviour that I discovered only after 25 levels. It was simply a nightmare to switch using arrows and then X. I also tried using the arrows as in the hotbar in your video, that didn't do much. Now instead I do FATEs switching between enemies in a breeze.

hmm I should try using the auto attack button instead of the stance button now that you mention it... LOL! as for using the arrows like in my old setup... i removed those once I had more skills. I'm a bit OCD and I don't like empty spots on my crossbar... LOL!

It is mentioned that with 2.1 we can config the button for sheathe/unsheathe only without target-lock if we wish.

This is going to be great... although what sux is my PS3 just died on me... LOL! been playing on my pc with a gamepad now... HAHA!

thanks.. that helped a lot... too bad we cant exclude summoner's pet which are friendly units.. i get sooo annoyed targeting those at fate/dungeons.

i'll try the L1/R1 switch later.. im sure that'd come in handy.. ^_^

Same thing happened to me while playing on Friday :(
6+ years without issues (the original fat 60 gig model) then bam
Is it the yellow light? Because that is fixable
You just need to change the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU
I will be repairing mine this week.
I do also hope SE adds more menus for us

Yeah mine was a FAT 40GB... never any issues. I believe the fan just died and it overheated... I'm not using it at the moment so i can try and save the HDD...

I have a question for you Jonathan.

I went to my configurations and changed it so when I unsheathed my weapon I should only target attacking monster when I cycle through enemies. This doesn't seem to work... would you know why? Or am I misunderstanding it?

I'm not too sure why it would be doing that. Mine works fines. I use the enemies and aggro enemies when weapon is drawn... especially now since I am leveling my gladiator.

Try to make sure you don't have any other filter settings checked. for example it targeting cycle function below the weapon drawn/sheathed option, and check your filter settings on the page just to the left of the filter tab... i think it is called targeting or filters.

Using the enemies only filter when tanking is vital because you can see which enemies are grouped together during a mob pull.

Not sure if it has been said already, but if you are dumb like me (v_v) please know that when crafting while using the custom cross hotbars you can still switch to the crafter hotbar pressing R1+button.

What I was doing was to open the crafting log and everytime I forgot to switch to "armed mode" with L3 after starting a craft I had to quit it if I forgot to witch. Just press R1+button and you are all ready to craft!!

lol. your not dumb... sometime people forget things. I switch between crossbars all the time using the R1+button to organize my sets, so I'm just really use to it. LOL!

Still I consider that system a bit bugged. If going armed switches the hotbars. switching the hotbars should sheathe/unsheathe the weapon. All or nothing. Unless there is yet another option that I missed. The game should give exp on fixing the UI settings!! :D
