What classes/jobs would you like to see come to FF XIV?

My vote has to go to thief :)

Red Mage!!!

Beastmaster and Dark Knight. Can't choose

*Red Mage (can't really guess the class requirements that would be needed)
*Ninja (I can see Thief becoming a new class if not a full job)
*Corsair (Where else but Limsa Lominsa to place this class?)

Ninja, just leave it like FFXI though. I want my blink tank back! I heard SAM and THF were talked about, would like those too. I prefer dual-wield classes. Odd there is currently none. Enjoyed BLU in FFXI also.

Oh and on a side note, I want my wyvern on DRG. How am I a dragoon and no wyvern...?

Mediator, Red Mage, Geomancer, Spell Sword/ Holy Knight (Not pld, more like Orlandu and Izlude) Thief, Rogue, Time Mage & Blue Mage

As far as something creative maybe something like a ninja tool specialist, I guess that might be already what ninja is unless ninja is more like a their class, otherwise I was picturing something like Tenten from naruto lol, ninja tool user!

Jobs for the DoH and DoL that specialize them.

EG:
Culinarian - Pastry chef
Armorer - Heavy Armorer
Botinist - Lumberjack

Also new DoL/DoH classes
Shepherd (for choco raising)
Gardener (for growing your own stuff at your house)

For the DoM and DoW I want to see something unique to this world
Aether Knight (uses crystaline armor)
Aether Mage (uses crystaline rods)

Also I would love to see Advanced Jobs (Class/Job/Advanced Job)
Thaumaturge - Black Mage - Black Wizard
Marauder - Warrior - Knight

I would love to hear people expand on these ideas, it's much more interesting to think of instead of the usual "Want redmagez!" These are coming, just be patient. Lets give them ideas for new things, stuff we might not see.

Gunblade class - dps that can fight both melee and ranged

Greatsword class - tank/damage, maybe like Rune Fencer

At present, for mages, we have healers, DDs and a non-elemental DoT w pet, how about a mage specializing in support/enhancing?

While it isn't a new class, I'd like for the Dragoon to have Wyrm/Dragon minion again. I miss my FFXI pet. :(

I'd have to go with Red Pimp. That's what I was in 11. I would like to see the melee part of it enhanced and expanded instead of being a Febreze Mage. :)

I want the ORIGINAL DRK.Scythes are bitchen but it's not a DRK weapon. regardless of ff11 they should be using cursed swords, their original weapon of choice.They're KNIGHTS. The "Dark" paladin. Put a Scythe with a job that fits.

Back on topic. DRK, Ninja(not as tank.. they're ninja's FFS!) , Spellblade for those who like magic and melee, Red mage (would seem kind of redundant in 14 but that sexy outfit of theirs.. i wants it.x3) , Time mage definitely!(Time and space magic ftw! Haste would grant spell/skill speed buff, like how some food buffs do. Aoe slow and return of Demi and comet spells.)

No rogue it's too much of a generic mmo "class" I'd stick to Thief being a basic Class with THF Lv30 + THM Lv15 = Ninja and have THF Lv 30 + ARC Lv 15 = Assassin. Ninja would be Melee sustain dps with an unspamable "Throw skill" and some lengthy cool down "Ninjustu" Spells that you'd get mid - late levels. Assassins would be more high burst lot less sustain.

Either a ranger, sniper or musketeer. I would like the archer to be able to branch off into a non-support class, preferably one with a skill tree that focuses on heavy damage+debuffs.

Corsair, I really want it.

Dancers, loved them in FFXI

I would definitely like to see thief. Take daggers from gladiators and make a trickster/swindler/burglar/bamboozler/shenaniganizer. No dagger 4 u gladiata!!

Also, can anyone link confirmation about Ninja/thief coming? I'm not saying it isn't happening but I find people tend to make speculations, then they turn to rumors, then they become "planned" then comes /ragequit because the developers broke a promise that was made as a speculation by an overexcited player.

In DCUO people complained for a year that Quantum power set never launched like it was supposed to...and I had evidence from developers that it was only ever discussed during planning phase and was never intended for launch or any expansion that was soon to come at the time. It started as speculation....

I still want Time Mage...

Fairly old, probably no one remembers, but what about Gambler? Cid from FF3. Most of his skills were based off of RNG of rolling a die. 6 = epic dmg. 1 = self inflicted and/or terribad dmg. People who like to "live life dangerously" would love this class.

I would really love to see the Dragoon with a Wyvern again. Even if for balance's sake the wyvern doesnt have next to any dps, and not directly controllable but more like FFXI the wyverns abilities play off whatever the player is casting or its threat health etc but give us a wyvern!!! I miss my pet so much from XI >>>

I definitely want beastmaster, as well as thief and samurai. But beastmaster would be incredibly easy, considering the framework they already have in place for pets (chocobo battling). I miss soloing stuff on my 99 BST in XI.

There is this problem BST will face. That is the insane amount of AoE abilites this game have. Not much use of a carrion carrie if it dies in 1 plume hit.

Bring back PUP pls!
