Hatching Tide hats?

well.. update doesnt do anything. nothing new. im so baffled by this event. ive tried alchemy also to no avail.

Let's just get a bunch of paint together and start trying to paint the hell out of Archon Eggs, Egg Caps, Dodo Eggs, Apkallu Eggs...

The event NPC disappeared suddenly...Q_Q;

Is it just me (bugged)? Or they're really gone?

Scrambling Spriggan : Horizon's Edge - Wester Thanalan (9,20)

Drops Colored Archon Egg in addition to the other elemental eggs.

They're in a cave, about 5-6 of them

Scurring Spriggan : Horizon's Edge - Western Thanalan (19,35)

In a cave as well

Turned in everything they asked for the hats described by the NPCs, then gave 1 of each element, astral, and umbral to Ziggy waaaaaaay back at the rear of Nanawa mines for the Chocobo.

Also, the Darkened eggs I found in Copperbell on the bottom floor (where the ants are).

Meh, I kind of lost interest in this entire quest once I discovered it wasn't some intricate puzzle we had to work out, but instead an exercise in camping spriggans. Oh well, still better than bells, but I'm a little disappointed.

At least it's not bells. And it doesn't take a huge amount of time to get all the hats.

Finished getting all the hats a little earlier (quests completed in all 3 cities). Either the spriggans have a long repop time, or they rotate between caves in an area, not sure which. It would be nice to think that SE and the Devs will change what items are available next year to make these ones unique to this year (something I think they should continue to do with each event), but sadly I expect a rehash of the same thing next year (just like they used to do in FFXI), which means I probably won't have anything to do.

Just got a Deaspected Crystal. Is this part of the final phase of our event?

Just for the record, you don't need to kill Spirrigans in high level areas to get Umbral and Darkened eggs (I can only confirm Umbral but I'm pretty sure its both): I got an Umbral egg off of one of the many Spirrigans around The Silver Bazaar south of Horizon.
