I've been looking over this thread and your website... seems like a good group of people, but I haven't seen much about raiding statics.
What does the raiding scene look like in your FC and how likely would it be for someone to get into a group or possibly form one?

Hi there. :)

We actually have a sub-forum for raiding, where people sign up for and recruit for their Coil statics. We currently have six Coil "flights;" four of them are actively raiding, one will begin raiding in a week or so after a hiatus, and one is still recruiting. While we do have raid officers who help with grouping and such, we've found that flights really require a solid leader, so our current strategy is to allow people to start a flight and recruit their members, schedule their raids, etc. If a group has at least four AKS members, they get a channel in Mumble, and we're happy to switch around the FC buffs for food and gear-wear when asked.

Forming a group is relatively easy, as long as you're motivated. Joining one depends on your jobs, know-how, and the availability of existing flights.

tl;dr - Yes, we raid. People can start their own groups, or look among the six currently established groups for open spots. :)

Are you guys newbie friendly? Just bought the game last week and joined a random FC where I don't talk to anyone because I don't know whats going on >.< I'm looking to switch into a more community/fun/social FC.

We're everything-friendly. Admittedly, most of our FC has at least one job to 50 already, but we've helped many a new player through all kinds of content, and we have a few new members who haven't yet hit 50. :)

We definitely accept new players and low-level characters. We have a few people in the guild who haven't finished leveling to 50 yet, so you wouldn't be alone, and we have a lot of people happy to help with the dungeons and raids as you go. We actually have a mix of everything - end-game raiders, new characters, devoted crafters, and (last but hardly least) Jon.

Give us a holler in-game or feel free to submit an application to the FC to catch the notice of an online officer. :)

Hello, I'm fairly new to the server and game. I played FF XIV a little bit at launch but the group of players I had chosen to play the game with. All kind of quit at the same time. So I quit. Here almost a year later, I'm ready to give FF XIV another go. I like FF XIV a great deal, but a community is something you need to be a part of in any MMO. I've been looking for a friendly to new players FC and so far I like what I've read here. I tried to sign up on the website ,but I kept getting timeout errors.A friend and myself are interested in joining. I'll try to apply in game as well if possible.

Hi, I'm new to the server and this FC looks really interesting due to how it covers both casual and more hardcore play styles. I'm often busy and my playtime is inconsistent but typically I don't get online until after 9 or 10 PM PST. Does the FC have a decent amount of PST (or just late night) players?
