Even with the problems I've had logging in, I still appreciate all the hard work Yoshi-P and the dev team have done. I hope to be playing this game as long as it is in service.
Now, hopefully once launch settles down a bit, you can take a well deserved vacation. :)
Yoshi took on a heck of a project, and I have a great deal of respect for him wanting to turn this around. What little I was able to play was very well done and polished. It's missing a few convenience things, but I'm sure it will be updated a lot in the months to come. We just need to get around these server stress issues.
Thank you Devs, thank you Yoshi. This is a monumental project. You've taken the burden of Atlas and don't get the thanks you deserve.
Thanks for the super-fun game, thanks for keeping me posted on the issues/maintenance and thank you for the personal apology. I don't know how to tell you how exponentially awestruck I am in knowing how important this game is to you, Yoshi. I've never heard of this level of dedication on any other video game ever and I am ever grateful that a team who cares this much about both the fan-base and the game are on it.
Keep it up, I'm having a blast and as a PS3 player, I can't wait to get my kitty mount later today. Thanks for all the little in game gifts too; it's the sole reason why I preordered, hehe. I know it's not quite as important as the other stuff but, the courel mount was just super awesome. Saw a few players who got theirs yesterday and I'm soooo anxious! Love the Cait Sith minion too, thanks for that.
EDIT: Shouldn't we be calling it "Paladining" since that's what a White Knight is? /badjokeisbad
Thank you devs. Thank you Yoshi-P. I apologize for the people acting rude and irrational, but you guys have created a wonderful game for all of us. It is disappointing that we haven't been able to play 100% smooth, but that's no one's fault. Nothing in life ever goes perfectly all the time. I sincerely appreciate the tireless work you guys have put in not just the last few days, but the last 2 years, redeeming the FFXIV name, at least in my eyes. I am sure in the coming days and weeks, the experience will get much smoother. It already has been singinficantly better each day since Saturday.
I cannot speak for anyone else, but for this guy, you all have earned one more life long fan. And I hope you realize that for every one person being rude and disrespectful, there's 10 people who disagree with his attitude if not his stance and there's 50 people who are enjoying the game and not trolling the forums. So in the end, once again, Thank You. And keep up the great work.
I and my wife have both had problems logging in. During beta and during EA. We both understand the difficulties that come with this kind of game. Unlike many on this forum who seem unable to see past their own personal needs.
The people at SE have done something very difficult with this project. The hours they will have all put in will be beyond some peoples understanding. Things do not always go to plan and regardless of how careful you are something will almost always jump up and bite you in the butt.
All the people screaming need to calm down and show some understanding. It is only a game, yet i see people calling it a disaster. Look around the world and you will see real problems. Not being able to log into a server is not one of them. If you all put this much energy into real problems the world might be a better place.
Thank you SE for making this into the game it is now. I hope to enjoy it for many years to come, i look forward to the PS4 release. :)
I have been quite surprised when I saw Yoshi-P almost in tears. I'm happy to see how much he cares for the game, and feel bad for him reading some stupid comments on Beta Forums and here too... I'm confident Final Fantasy XIV will be a success, and don't care about all those children out there that cry and shout because for 2-3 days they couldn't play as much as they want.
Thank you Yoshi-P for all the job you have done!
Thanks for all your hard work! I'm really enjoying my time in Eorzea!
Good Job! :D
Thank you, Dev Team and Yoshida "Yoshi-P" Naoki for a great game and the opportunity to beta test FFXIV: ARR! Keep up the good work and keep the content coming!

Thanks so much to the whole dev team for an amazing job remaking FFXIV. I really love playing the game and look forward to playing for a long time.
Thank you, SquareEnix.
Thank you, FFXIV dev teams.
Most of all, thank you to Yoshi P. If only all producers and directors could be like you!
From an avid gamer, especially RPG's, especially the FF universe, especially MMORPG's, from FFXI (6 years), to FFXIV 1.0 (only stopped because it was taken off line), to the new FFXIV ARR, thank you Yoshi P. and Dev's! FFXIV ARR is without doubt the best MMORPG right now, nothing else comes close! While frustrating, it will take some time to keep up with demand for servers, but it will happen.
Aside from server/login issues, FFXIV:ARR is a masterpeice. Well done Naoki Yoshida and the SE development team.
i said it many times i enjoy the game and the rebuilding of the game thanks and please consider adding more na/eu servers
Thank you Team! the amount of fun I have had watching this game being completely revamped is most likely the closest I will come to game development, and to be part of it with great developers and people is awesome!
To think that I could be playing this game for 10 years is awesome! I can't wait to start this long adventure!
Thanks again great job, you guy and girls have done something most in this world could not.
Thank you Yoshi and Devs. I pick my copy of the game up this afternoon (8:17 am right now where I am lol). You've made this an unbelievably awesome game, and shown you truly care about us the players, and not our money. I've been a fan of the Final Fantasy series for some time. I had the original NES one. And even Mystic Quest. But when I got the playstation and FF8, I was sold on the series since.
Thank you Yoshi and dev team!
I said this in another thread, but I will stick to A Realm Reborn until something happens to me or the servers get shut down. I honestly love this game more than the other MMOs I've played (including FFXI), and I love its community. Furthermore, I also enjoy making FFXIV fan art very, very much. And, after hearing Yoshida's response to Dualshockers' Mini Minstrel question, I will definitely draw a lot more.
Thank you so much, Yoshi-P and devs!
And Happy Re-birth day, Final Fantasy XIV!
Thanks to Yoshi-P and the entire team.
Awesome game is AWESOME!

I've had a wonderful experience so far. I hope that more people come to appreciate the game as much as I do. Thank you for your hard work - Arigatou gozaimasu.
I've heard the data centers SE hired were or are in canada hosted by "x" service provider? or the infrastructure set up by SE is the one that caused the issues? seems more likely the provider just didn't had the resources to withstand SE's necessities.
I find it all very confusing and maybe later down the road we'll probably know the exact reason why but for it being a MMO launch the game is in one hell of a condition. mechanic wise and content wise (whether i think the game is too easy or not does not make it bad), while i agree things could have been handled a little better "communication wise" the community in general reached a toxic level really quick.
Hope everyone enjoys their launch, their game and eventually the community.
also blame Canda.
Thank you for such an amazing game. The amount of work put in to FFXIV is mind blowing and I look forward to playing it for a long time. So to the entire FFXIV team thank you for all the hard work and dedication.
Just bought my CE digital edition and prepared to pay for 180 days just like I did in 1.0 ....I'm glad the game is doing fine let's keep it up and bring in new people
Yes, thanks a lot for this great game. I haven't enjoyed an MMO this much since the early days of Dark Age of Camelot... which is over a decade ago.
Thank you, Yoshi-P and the dev team. This game is beautiful, engaging, and the first game in a long time that I've been this excited to play. I'm looking forward to experiencing all the ARR has to offer and looking forward to new adventures that await.
Thank you Yoshi-P and Devs, while many of us are frustrated with the server issues (me included, not being able to log in to Hyperion since Saturday), I've totally loved the game itself since beta phase 3. I can say that, once those server issues are resolved this game will be one of my favorite mmorpg of all time.
Congratulations, guys; Keep up the good work!
Thank you Yoshi P for delivering us this great game. I've been enjoying every minute of it and it is becoming extremely addicting lol. Keep up the great work
Thank you!
Thank you very much, you have created an incredible game. I have absolutely fallen in love with Eorzea, I look forward too many years of this game.
I do not know what is going " outside " ( the server ) , but the server seems pretty stable from inside , the duty finder running smooth , the world is lag free . If the server are open to create new char where the new people from today want , i'd call a very smooth release day . Sure we had " lil trouble " during the early access , but they put huge effort into fixing it and look like it worked .
Good work , keep it up .
どうもありがとうございました吉田さん!
Thank you Yoshi-P! Allthough the start was not smooth, we love you for the wonderfull world, you gave us, that we will enjoy for comming years! So heads up! You and your team are just awesome!
I'd also like to extend my thanks to the whole team at Square Enix that worked on this relaunch. Always good to have someone as passionate as Yoshida in charge as well - we're having some early problems with the launch but that was sort of expected. Cheerio
The vocal haters pale in comparison to the fans. We're with you Yoshi-P and team!
I can't believe he pulled it off. This is an all new in gaming history. And in regards to the login issue, you can thank your fellow Americans in L.A., where the server for NA is at. Not Yoshi-p's fault
I wanted to post on the off chance that this thread gets read by the people it is intended for.
I've experienced pretty much every major MMO release since WoW back in 2004. Launch issues were present in one form or another in every single one, we all know this if we're being honest. I too, was locked out for periods on Saturday / Sunday, but I was able to get in for a few hours at a time and get things accomplished on my char. I felt frustrated at times, however my frustrations didn't get the best of me because the time I did spend in the game was truly enjoyable.
In all of the various launches / games I've never seen the level of interaction with the players that Yoshida has maintained throughout the redesign process. I've really been blown away by the whole experience.
Its hard to describe.
Generally when I'm excited for an MMO launch its a self centered experience. I usually don't care about timelines, I usually don't care about the stress that the team might be under to fix things. What generally matters to me is when I'm able to get in and start clearing content. This time was different. Through the forum posts / live letters Yoshi really started to feel like more of a guild leader / friend than another business man looking to get players hooked on a treadmill. When I noticed this association I was making; I kind of started to think that the ffxiv community started to feel like guildmates aswell. This, to me, was very similar compared to a large progressive guild where you have your cliques (close friends) and generally quite a few faces/names you dont know on a personal level.
In not so many words, I started to feel like we were all in this together. Its still a little strange and foreign to me, but in the end it is nice to have that community feeling on such a broad scope.
Thank you Yoshi-P, thank you team.
Thank you player community.
Hello when i try to make a forum post i get a message saying im not allowed because my char lv may not be high enough etc, but ive posted before? why can i not longer post...
