Calling a pure virtual function is a programming error, so you need to find the call to the pure virtual function and rewrite the code so it is not called.
One way to find a call to a pure virtual function is to replace the pure virtual function with an implementation that calls the Windows API function DebugBreak. When using the debugger, DebugBreak will cause a hard-coded breakpoint. When the code stops running at this breakpoint, you can view the callstack to see where the function was called.
Another way to find a call to a pure virtual function is to set a breakpoint on the _purecall function that is found in PureVirt.c. Breaking on this function has the advantage of keeping the stack intact so that you can trace what is occurring.
ok so i get in to play the game and then suddenly as soon as i load and can see my surroundings it crashes with the same error. -.- i paid for this game to play it not to watch it chrash every 5 minutes or less. please SE fix this issue. just recently before i had gotten the error and crashed just 10 minutes before i was walking in limsa on my way the the ferry docks by the fishermans guild and fell thru the boards and landed on the water able to walk around took me forever to actually get out from the water but i was walking on water due to extreme lag i presume. if this is related then please fix SE. you are my only hope
Just crashed 4 times in 15 minutes due to this error.
To the top...
I've been getting this a few times a day. It seems to happen most often when I am zoning into a crowded area, including the invisible zone lines within an area. Sometimes it happens when I am teleporting into a crowded area, like one of the camps where people are concentrated. I usually get the 'still logged in, try later' error when I try to get back on, which can last from 10 min to 45 min.
Getting really sick of this happening all the time whenever I teleport or load into a new area. I didn't have this issue in beta 2 or 3 just 4 and release.
was talking to Biggs to start "every little thing she does is magic" storyline quest that starts the instance...not even 45 seconds ago...this is a pain in the backside....
i have done all the uninstalls and re installs of the game and runtime programs..its a new system with only teamspeak 3, ventrillo and ffxiv:arr with the windows 7x64 on a 128g ssd...
this needs to be adressed as i mentioned on the other 3 runtime threads before...
Just got this issue twice in 1 hour, it's getting pretty annoying...
Three times within five minutes. After that, I gave up. I dare not try anything important in game while this is happening, I could drop at any moment. This is ridiculous.
I see a bunch of 6025 error threads over in the bug reports forum, most of them in duplicate bug reports, I can only hope at least one of them made it to the right people. Something screwy is going on in the code and there's nothing we can do about it.
I've just gotten this error again today. A couple of days ago, it would give me the error whenever I teleported anywhere. It actually went away for a while, but today, I was just leisurely walking around Limsa Lominsa (wasn't entering a new area or anything) and it just crashed for no reason. It's not game breaking for me, but I'm dreading the day that this happens during something important, like a dungeon or an event with my FC. It definitely needs to be looked at.
Okay, this is now becoming game-breaking for me! Just crashed twice in a row. There was no lag, I wasn't teleporting, and there was barely anyone else around so loading wasn't a problem. This needs to be fixed.
Le bump.....
What gets me about this bug is there doesn't seem to be any commonality between 6025 crash reports. I can go for days without one, but it always comes back at random. And then there are plenty of people whose clients are not crashing at all. I don't know what they're doing right, if anything, maybe they're just lucky. These are the worst kind of glitches, the inconsistent ones.
I managed to get away with playing for like two straight hours today, no idea how, but I'll take what I can get.
Bump, we need a feed back abut this, pls!! I'm getting more often everyday :/
lol...had this happen 2x within 20min of getting on and then was fine playing for 6hours until i got off...wth
I got this error and I was simply running around Gridania. Three consecutive times within roughly 10 minutes, less than a minute apart. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
Got my first error again today! Figures the first time I get errors in a game is this one.
I keep getting this problem too It happen right after i fall through the floor! https://www.dropbox.com/s/cylnv7kaxz...%20error.png?m

I just got a APP CRASH twice in a 30 min time frame Any clue how to solve it now that the servers been fixed... ?

I keep having these R6025 errors when i came to Gridania.
Lvl.21 Arcanist here. Everytime i move maps on Gridania the crashes happen.
This never happened when i was still at Limsa Lominsa.
I just upgraded my computer. Before I was having this once or twice a day, resulting in an inability to log back on due to previous server errors. I haven't had an issue since upgrading.
Went from 4gb DDR2 to 8gb DDR3 ram
2.4ghz Dual Core to 4.0ghz 8-Core
New motherboard
New Case
Not saying hardware is the issue exclusively, but the game appears to like my new hardware configuration for now. I just don't think the game is optimized well at all.
Why is this shit still happening? From what I've seen online, this error is related to a simple programming bug and is relatively simple to track down and fix. Get on it SE!
Has this for a little while, moved servers to a lesser populated server. Everything was going GREAT and then right after maintenance, it happens! I'm seriously getting frustrated! I just want to play my game!!
I got this for the firs time after last Wednesday's big maintenance. Never once had it before that. Then, I got it fixed(maybe) for three straight sessions before yesterday's maintenance and a new Nvidia driver and pow, errors come back. Could have been a coincidence, but I think I'm gonna roll back to the beta drive that seemed to help for now.
Hello everyone. First off just wanted to say im glad that im not the only one getting this error. This started to happen after the big update they had. I get it randomly from time to time its very annoying
i get it too. it happened too me 3/4 time in the previous days.
Bump!
First time that I see it appear inside an instance (Castrum), mostly of time got it on Coerthas.
Reinstall C++ vcredist_x86 and this issue is fixed on Windows 7.
Gonna try it anyways :p
Newest version off the Visual Studio 2013 website:
http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9832156
So many hotfixes, none of which has addressed this problem.
Well this game was fun tell R6205 made this game un playable, gonna un sub tell Square Enix get's their shit together, which will be never. I've never seen a game so badly optimized tell I played this game.
Is still happening.
Cant understant why on beta was everything perfect and fabulous and now this anoying rutine error dosnt seem to go away never.
SE needs user provided application crash dumps to actually debug the issue, the error code itself is basically useless as anything can cause a runtime exception.
Probably the first thing to try is removing any applications like Teamviewer, TwitchTV, or [insert name of other application which injects itself into every application].
You need to install the version witch matches what FFXIV is built with
FFXIV uses MSVCRT.DLL , so therefor it uses the C runtime version supplied by the OS, and not the C++ runtimes that would be installed if you install any of the C++ redistribution libraries. This version of the C runtime is used by applications compiled by Microsoft Visual Studio 6 or Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2002. Later versions of Visual Studio compile against MSVCRTxx.dll . In all likeliness due to the PS3 version, the game is probably compiled by some cross-compiler suite that we don't know of.
